We have been using halo sleepsacks since we brought our son home from the hospital. They have been great! They keep him warm and keep him from waking himself up. As soon as we put him in it and feed him, he falls right to sleep and stays asleep! He will sleep for 6 hours at a time! He sleeps from 1 am- 7 am then he gets a dream feeding (diaper change and feeding without waking on his own) then sleeps from 730 am to about 1 pm! He is 3 months old and still fits into a small. He’s been wearing a small since about 2 months. He’s very long for his age and there is still room for his legs. He weighs about 17 lbs. It’s easy to use as well! While I loved our newborn sized swaddle, the next size up is HUGE. I thought the length would just be longer, but the width is too. It's so big on him (he weighs just over 12 lbs) that the swaddle part goes all the way underneath him and has a huge flap that can't attach to the Velcro part and hangs over and I have to make sure it doesn't fold underneath him. Not only that, because of how big it is, I just can't get it tight enough where he can't get his arms out. The newborn swaddle is too small for him now and I can't use this one either :( Read more

I was initially hesitant to buy this because some reviews say it’s different than the newborn size. That was not the case.I was gifted the newborn size and my 2.5 month baby is just about too long for it so for the last two weeks I’ve been trying to figure out what to do next because some reviews said they loved the newborn size but the small was different. I should have just bought the small size because I ended up with two other swaddles that I’ve since had to return in the interim.I’ve attached photos showing the two next to each other (the peach one is the newborn size) and as far as I can tell the only difference is the small size has two zippers and zips from bottom to top.My baby doesn’t like to be swaddled but she needs to be...she basically just hates sleeping and is super active. The reason I swaddle her is because she likes to play with her hands and keep herself awake. She cries if I swaddle her arms down but if I put them up by her chin like she’s praying that’s our compromise. She usually pulls her right arm out within a few minutes so if you need a swaddle that’s more constricting this might not work unless you swaddle arms down. All I’m going for is it distracts her while she’s fighting to escape but the fight wears her out and she ends up asleep one arm in and one arm out. Whatever works, right?The reason I like this swaddle best in the end is that no matter what extreme wiggling she does it in, it never rides up over her face. I had the zippadee zip because I thought that would work best since she ends up with at least one arm out in the end anyway but it would keep her from playing with her hands...thank goodness I tried it out while I was still awake because she raised her arms up over her head and it covered her nose up. Anyway, this works to prevent her from keeping herself awake as much as I can reasonably hope for without risking suffocation so it’s a mom win in my book.From a quality standpoint the newborn size took many washes and stretching easily and shows no signs of wear and both my baby and my friends’ baby used it for a total of probably 5-6 months. The small size has only gone through 1 wash and a few nights so far but all looks good. I will update my review if that changes so assume all is well if I don’t.PS - I don’t really use the zip from the bottom to change a diaper feature because as soon as I touch her she wakes up...but maybe a good concept for a baby that sleeps more soundly! This listing is misleading and once again I have to return another halo sleepsack that didn’t match the product description. The last halo sleepsack I ordered had described a product with a TOG rating of 0.5 and what I received was a TOG rating of 1.5.That being said, the product itself looks great but I’m too annoyed to give more than 1 star.FIX!!! This is my 4th halo sleep sack I’ve used. I needed to have a spare for those middle of the night diaper mishaps. The newborn size is so short that my daughter grew out of it so quickly. This size is much longer which is great for tall babies. I noticed they have redesigned to include a double zipper that doesn’t unfasten so there is no fiddling with zippers at 3 am (nice touch!) My old one form a couple yrs ago did not have this feature. No other sleep sack compares to these. BUY IT. And buy 2 so one is always clean. Holds up great over years of washing but make sure to close the Velcro before putting in the wash because it is powerful velcro and it will ruin your clothes. Read more

We got this when my daughter was 11 lbs and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to use it until later on but I still washed it and tried it on her and to my surprise it fit perfectly.It is soft and light, the fabric seems to be of a decent quality.I saw some reviews stating it would roll up when baby tried lifting their arms and I’ll go out on a limb and say that those reviewers might not be swaddling tight enough, this has never happened to us (and our daughter is a fighter) and this is keeping in mind that she wasn’t even at the minimum weight.As far as sleeping stretches, my daughter wasn’t sleeping even 3 hours straight and now she is sleeping from 6 to 8 hours straight. I really love this swaddle, definitely worth the price to me. The material is very light weight, so I've had no concerns about my son getting too hot. It's very easy to use compared with other swaddle options I've tried, and I particularly like that the zip is top down so that you can change babies nappy without taking him completely out of the swaddle bag. I tried anais muslins, grobag, swaddle me and love to dream swaddled and this is the only one she would wear without complaint. It’s great because it’s roomy around the legs, it acts sort of like a sleeping bag, it has large velcro areas for the swaddle so you can make it right and loose. I love these, and used them from 0-5 months old. It's good to have this one (lighter) and the microfleece. I used this as a swaddle, then one-arm swaddle, and now just as a sleeping bag with her arms out. The best and easiest swaddle transition option, in my opinion. Read more
