These I had never tried before but my sinus' were stuffed up and i had a nasty cough from my cold i bought this and it soothes my sinus' as well as my throat and they aren't horrible to taste. These are good for short term relief of sore throats. They are even better at giving me some relief of severe nasal congestion. Being that they are individually wrapped, it is easy to keep a couple in my purse. They come in handy if you get a tickle-type cough at a time you feel it is better to be quiet (like during church or the library). The Halls Drops Menthol Lyptus drops are a definite yes in my household. Living in Southern California the weather changes so frequently that you don't know from one day to the next as to what you will see over the horizon. Well, to be prepared for the coughing and whatever else will occur I decided to order these through Prime Pantry and they arrived just in time. My teenager plays sports and is out in the elements (soccer and softball) so when she came home coughing I immediately handed her one and the coughing subsided almost immediately. She didn't even complain about the Menthol flavoring but enjoyed it and said it was soothing to her throat. Other members of my household have taken them so far and they have not complained about coughing one bit. The package was easy to open as the tear strip across the top came off quite easily and opening the individual lozenges was fairly simple, just grab both ends of the wrapper and pull and it untwisted to open up the package.
