These were originally marketed as L. Erickson- even coming up in the search result for that brand. I see they have since been renamed, but they are still popping up in searches for the superior brand. I am so disappointed in this product they do not stretch like the real thing, and the plastic piece that holds the ponytail together is so poorly manufactured that it snags hairs every single time I use it. The ONLY hair tie that works on my super thick curly hair! I have been to dozens of hair stylists in my life and without fail they all say the same thing. I have more hair that three people put together! It is a blessing and a curse! My oldest daughter inherited my extremely thick curls as well and our house is when broken hair ties go to die.Last year I was digging through our hair tie stash and there was nothing there! So I went to question my oldest and she had 5! in her hair! I was like ok we have to do something about this. I can't stand snapping another elastic band in my fingers or one popping off at a bad time and we certainly can't be wearing 5 in our hair at any given moment!Luckily after searching around on amazon I found these great THICK pony tail holders! We have been using them for months! and NO COMPLAINTS! Which is amazing in and of itself because a 13 year old has much to say when it comes to her hair!!I have ran them through the washer and dryer with no problems. They can pick up a little odor IF you don't dry your hair before you wear them and sometimes that does happen if you are in a rush but again a quick wash in with a load of laundry and its good as new. I love these so much. I need to buy more cause my daughter is hoarding them somewhere and I can't use any other brand now! So happy I found these! Only wish I had found them sooner! Read more
I'm a guy who grew my hair out to donate it and let me tell you these hair ties will last a lifetime. I am a mechanic and work outside most of the time in extreme heat and wind. These hair ties worked great, and allowed me to continue growing my hair to reach my goal of 15 inches. I had zero issues with these wearing out, becoming lose, or snapping. The hair ties that are sold at the pharmacy are no match for my hair. They either burst open on first use or they stretch and lose their elasticity within two of three uses. I had resorted to the purple elastic bands they use for the broccoli at the supermarket. I decided to try these out on a whim and I am quite pleased. 1) They do not pull by hair. 2) they do not fall out of my hair. 3) they have enough elasticity to be doubled around my heavy hair. 4) They retain their shape after multiple uses. 5) When I slip one on my wrist temporarily it does not squeeze me. 6) It's dark, matches my hair color and is appropriate for business, casual or formal occasions. Found rubber bands like these at a little boutique in my town and got them for my girls for Christmas. I wish I would have bought more, so my oldest searched amazon and found these. So far, they have been just as good as the ones I bought for Christmas. The colors are so pretty. If you have thick hair, they are a must. I ordered these hoping they would be the same quality and they were. These are much better than the thin rubbery ties that you can buy in Wal-mart. They stay in, they hold everything together, they don't tangle in my hair or do lots of damage, and they don't warp or break like the cheap bands. Read more
