I was really skeptical about these bc I bought a pack of the goody brand in walmart. Those were the biggest waste of money after one day they were shot, and they barely worked to begin with. (I could only wrap twice and it drooped). I was pleasantly surprised with these. I always use two hair ties at a time, and wrap it three times. So these went 3 times and my hair has been secure where it started all day. I will probably committ and get the 100 pack next time.**UPDATE**I really wanted to like these, but after a few weeks, I had to be real with myself. There was such an awful sore spot on my head from how tight I had to keep my hair up in these. It's just not worth it. I thought to use these for masks but turns out they are a bit on the thick side once the knot is taken out so the experience we got was that it pulls the ears forward. Maybe if they were longer but they are exactly 7”. Tried to cut them in half to make them thinner but it totally ruins the integrity of it. So if used for it’s intended purpose, they are great! I used to use typical old hair elastics which created a slightly visible line (or "halo") of breakage around my head right at the level that my hair would be tied up in. These elastics helped me stop this damage; as my hair grew out, I no longer have that breakage. These hair ties are also super comfortable and don't crease hair or stretch out with time! Read more

These are very sturdy. I’ll give them that. But I bought these for the very specific fact that it said they work with thick hair. My daughter has thick hair and I got it around twice, and it was loose and tried the third time.... not a chance! I even tried to pull it through the last twist in pieces! But nope. These have been a lifesaver for my thin fine hair. They don’t leave a dent, even though they hold my ponytail/bun all day, and I haven’t noticed any breakage at all.
