This eye lubricant is the best I could find and I will continue to use it. I use around a tube a week, so at this rate, it should last me three months. I find it is best to use all-natural lubricant as I have Sjogren's Syndrome. I also use all-natural eye drops during the daytime. Have used this formula, in several brands (such as Refresh Plus), for over 25 years. Work better than any of the other 10 or so brands/products I have tested during these years. My eyes are very dry and I live in Phoenix metro with very low humidity, lots of fans and blowing AC--so I apply them every 12-15 minutes. If you have chronic dry eye (and Restasis, et all, didn't work for you) Here's an FYI tip from a long-time sufferer: buy a cheap digital timer and keep it by you when reading, computing, or watching TV. Set it for a countdown of 15 min (or whatever amount of time you learn is needed for your eyes) so as to remind you to put in the drops. My daughter has a condition where she doesn't make any tears, oily or wet and has had to use sterile ointment without lanolin (allergic) since she was 5 years old (now 48). Medicare used to pay for her ointment then they stopped and everything on the market had lanolin or cost so much it was very hard for us to pay for them. I use this every night before bed to keep my eyes in tip top shape. It's so important to have this in the house at all times because STUFF gets in the eye just by walking around outside. We have so much coming at us that it can damage the eye if we aren't prepared on our end. I keep this in my emergency pack in my car and in my backpack as well so I'm prepared for anything. I use this for our aging schi tzu doggies. It works nicely but does need to be reapplied during the day. Also watch for the plastic ring seal that has a tendency to stay under the cap after breaking seal. Take the little plastic ring part of the prior seal off so it does not fall into eye. Due to several eye surgeries, it is necessary for me to use a nighttime gel when I sleep. I have used several brands of nighttime eye gel, but this stuff is horrible.A tube of other gels tends to last me a month with daily use. The applicator on this junk will not work properly, period.
