I bought these for my daughter for Christmas. She’s 6 and we wanted something which would wash out. We read the instructions, applied water, then brushed through her hair.-it was thick, not chalky. Like clay.-the color was faint. So now she had a thick streak of wet hair, with almost no color.-when I used a spray bottle and a paper towel to wipe it out, the color did show up on the paper towel.We are very disappointed. 😕We wanted these to work so bad! Barely noticeable change to my daughters hair. We spent nearly 30 minutes combing this into her hair and got almost no color transference. I would have given it one star but my daughter was still happy that she received all that attention and she imagined that her hair looked close to the picture on the box. The purple color worked somewhat while the rest of the combs simply chunked and broke off onto the floor.It was relatively easy to clean out of my daughters hair, but harder to clean the chunks off of the floor. I got this to use for my toddler's "Silly Hair Day" at school, thinking this seemed easy and less toxic-seeming than spray on color. It took vigorous rubbing with these chalk combs to get any color at all, and then the color was barely noticeable. The black caps at the end of the combs falls off easily and then the chalk falls out. Do not recommend. Read more

This item is definitely not for dark coloured hair (black). Also the quality is extremely awful. It made my daughter's hair all clumpy. I am a hairstylist and always colour my hair. I was very excited because my daughter wants to colour her hair but she is only 5. Extremely disappointed with the outcome of this item.I also wanted to.order like 10 to take back with me to India but I doubt it will work on the little girls there.I have used 2 colours (pink and orange) orange barely. I bought this purely out of boredom, but it was fun! I have dyed blonde hair, so I think that's key when having the color actually show up. When you have the product on it feels a lot as if you've doused your hair in hair spray so it's pretty difficult to comb and can cause you to damage your hair a bit when brushing if you have long hair like me. I slept on a white pillow with the dye and nothing came off which was great. The next day it definitely need a a touch up, but overall I say if you just want to have fun and check out different colors on light hair, this is great for that. These didn’t work at all and the photos are horribly unfair and deceptive. My daughter was so excited snd hopeful for “rainbow hair” and this stuff didn’t work at all. We followed the instructions to a t—did it on damp hair, over and over, to no avail. We went to Walmart and bought spray to try and patch up our hair plans. They are going back. Only the white, pink and yellow were visible from 5 feet away on medium-dark hair. The other colors were only visible when close up and were more of a tint than a strong color. Not as advertised on dark hair. Followed directions to wet hair first and apply color to patches. Took ~15 stokes to get white, pink and yellow colors to show up. Bought this for Halloween. My son wanted yellow hair (Naruto) and even on his blonde hair, this did not work! It left a tinge of yellow-ish but not enough to even notice it unless you were up close and really looking for it. Such a waste of money. Very disappointed Read more

This is a nice gift for our niece. It has vibrant colours is a type of product which is attractive to girls. With this, they can have fun by experimenting with their hair without needing to go to a hairstylist. It's not permanent and can be washed. I believe that we are getting a good value for the price. Makes my hair look and feel super greasy. Despite following the directions for use this was a bad purchase and not worth the money. No matter what I did my hair was painful to brush out, the color barley shows, hair became hard as it dried that I could use it as a sword. Disappointed:( Read more
