So, I am a floss snob. Having tight contacts is always an issue, so having a floss that does not shred, cleans effectively and does not slam against my gums is a must for me. Since Listerine has discontinued its Gentle gum care woven floss, I have been trying a bunch of them to fill this hole in my life. This floss was terrible. I used it for the first time tonight and I had to re-floss so many areas because of the frayed floss left in-between my teeth. It is not woven thick floss to pick up debris, it is woven to get stuck between your teeth. it slammed down between my tight contacts and I had to slam it several times to get all the pieces out from between my teeth. I suppose it was decent at removing food particles, but I ended up having to use more and it was very uncomfortable.As far as Value, it is 200m, so if you don't have tight contacts, its likely a pretty decent floss for the money, I didn't find it sturdy due to the fraying and subsequent re-flossing needed, but the container is quite nice. I was excited to use this floss until I actually used it. Certainly not a floss for me unless I had nothing else left, I would still put it above glide though, at least it picks up food debris. I have “close contacts“ with my teeth and this Floss was suggested by a friend to help keep really get between my teeth.I don’t know why I ignored some reviews on here that said that the floss started to shred or that it was hard to get between your teeth but I should’ve listened!Now I have a large amount of floss that shreds and hurts and has ripped my gums.This is the largest single amount of floss (too big really for my bathroom countertop/sink area unless the whole family is using it) I’ve seen and used as ones personal floss and I can’t use it!My dentist just recommended a more appropriate floss and one that does not hurt my gums OR SHRED.I would not recommend this product!And actually neither would my dentist as of yesterday.My dentist was actually surprised to hear how the floss performed as they use products from the same brand G.U.M. I am still looking for a good woven floss on Amazon. so far non to be found. I bought this brand hoping to see a truly woven floss, instead it's a wide band with micro woven. It's not the same as a multiple thread woven together that are tight when you pull on them and then expand between the teeth to collect more debris and bring out as you move the floss. And to boot, it's made in China, amazing. We cannot even make floss in America. It makes me wonder about the quality of this product, that the manufacturer wants more profit and less quality, when i am searching for quality and i do not mind the price. I'm going to stick to the Pro-Glide from now on. I was hopeful after reading the other reviews, about how this is the only floss you'll ever need - no chance. I use a lot of floss, because can't stand having food stuck between my teeth, and I like to floss before brushing and using mouthwash. I bought this floss at least a month ago, and I'm still using my first dispenser, and I suspect this will last me forever.The dispenser is rewindable, which I thought would be great, but I honestly can't wait to be finished with this product. I have over 1000 yards of horrible and uncomfortable floss, not because it's thick (and it isn't), but because its shreds and rips between my teeth and can at worst get stuck between your teeth. It's the worst.At least with the Pro Glide, I don't have to worry or be extra careful with the floss. It may be more expensive and won't last as long, but at least it is comfortable and sturdy. So, a Butler Weave is a loosely intertwined string. It is 'tight enough' that it doesn't come unraveled in use, but also is 'loose enough' to 'deform' as you pull it down between your teeth.My dentist uses a very fine (but tightly woven) floss at my checkups, but even being very small in diameter, it is very difficult for the hygienist to get the floss down between my teeth.So, this is easier to use, doesn't put you at risk for really 'loading up' on the downward pressure which can really hurt or even cut your gums when it 'snaps in'. At the same time, there is more material for cleaning between your teeth because it is 'thicker' but deforms to get between teeth, due to the loose weave.Being a 'bulk pack' the unit cost was also pretty good. I floss a lot, and buying floss at the drug store was tedious and expensive. This Gum floss lasts such a long time, and is thick enough to do a good job, but not so thick that it won't slide between my teeth. Also, you can floss many teeth & crowns before it starts to shred and you need a new piece. And, my husband seems to need a yard of floss for each use, and this drives me less crazy because a 200-yard pack still last a long time despite his absurd excess. This is perfectly acceptable dental floss however it was not what I was looking for. There used to be a truly braided dental floss which I guess you can't buy anymore. I ended up getting the Listerine gentle gum which is what the dentist recommended which is a fluffy or weave in multi-colors. This floss is flat like dental tape and kind of smooth so it's not waxy like dental tape. It's good floss and I would have kept it except I need the fluffy or stuff according to my dentist. Since it's perfectly good floss I gave it to my son and ordered the Listerine gentle gum. Read more

What has happened to the price of floss?! Amazing how expensive it now is but I want to keep my teeth so I use it twice a day. I have some larger spaces between my teeth where food can get caught and as a result on occasion my gums can get inflamed. In other areas I have smaller spaces. Although this floss can separate lengthwise along the fibers I do not get floss caught in my teeth. Surprisingly this floss has worked well for my gums.
