I don't often write reviews, but I read some reviews for this product before purchasing and didn't find some of the issues that one of the 1-star people wrote. I'm sort-of infamous for my flossing technique. I'm very particular. I can't find unwaxed floss in the stores anymore, prob b/c everyone wants waxed floss for the ease of use. The unwaxed floss is better because it 'grips' better. I didn't think much about thin floss, but it does work very well. One guy said it was too sharp and hurt...I think it's from poor floss control. I did not have that experience. The thin does get in under the gumline better. I had more problems from the last Johnson reach 'cleanburst' floss that I was using; it shredded and tore more than this thin floss...and the Reach floss was thicker. This floss didn't tear, but it shredded a time or 2; no big deal. They all do that. This floss comes with a lot of product. It will last for a while. I was so disappointed with this floss. This order was for six packs of floss and I returned the unopened packs. I tried using this three times, but it did not glide between my teeth. I bought it because it is listed as "fine" and "waxed" floss and to me it was anything but. It did not glide at all like other waxed floss products that I've used. I buy this floss because my teeth are very tightly spaced and this is the only floss that I can easily work between them. Unfortunately, this is the second batch I have bought where at least one package (so far) was way thicker than this floss is normally supposed to be and is just about unusable. More like "regular" floss than "fine". Must be poor quality control at the factory. Read more

I was desperately searching for a floss for teeth that are super close together. This floss is definitely thinner...however! It lacks a nice waxy coating, as well as shreds easily. It kept getting caught and torn up between my teeth. I'd honestly rather use regular floss. While it's tough getting it in between, once it's in there regular floss is much more comfortable to use. I found this to feel rough...kind of sharp. The only thing I liked was the amount of floss as well as the container that allows you to reel it back it. That's a neat feature. Read more

This review is not based on the product itself. The product is fine, but I must have ordered something different the first time I ordered this, because I expected this to have a guide on the floss so it would be easier to slip under the bar that holds my dentures. The first one I ordered did have that guide. This product takes a bit of manuvering on my part to get under the bar because it doesn't have the guide. Hope that makes sense to you! Read more

I've been using this type of floss holder with the rewindable dispenser for quite a few years now and love it compared to the tape that sticks and splits by my crown, it glides easily, rarely breaks and very easy to measure off the amount you need. Highly recommend Read more

Had to stop buying the extra fine, unwaxed POH brand of floss because the price skyrocketed beyond reasonableness. The GUM floss isn't as good, but is far better than others. Recommended if you can't afford POH anymore. Read more
