The reason why I am rating this set so low is because they have COMPLETELY changed the size and thickness :(((. I purchased the same set from the same company and I’ve broken my other ones. Because they are stone and sometimes they fall. Now I get this new set and they are even thinner. Soo much thinner! As you see in my photos it’s like a 1/3 size smaller in thickness and it total size. I sent for a replacement hopefully they just made this set wrong. I will return the next set if they are just as small. Normally I HIGHLY reccomend them, but unfortunately they have gone on the cheaper end of things 😢. Read more

I can't say enough good things about this set. I am a physical therapist and use a metal tool in the clinic for instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. I bought this set to use at home on myself, specifically to treat my plantar fasciitis. I wanted something affordable and actually have ended up liking these stone tools much better than the more expensive tools I've used in the clinic. These tools arrived nicely packaged in an attractive box. They are held in a quality zippered bag with separate compartments to protect each tool. The tools themselves have nice weight to them and a variety of bevel profiles and curves. I had no complaints to address with the company but Hana Emi seems to be very customer oriented and stands behind their product. There is a package insert encouraging the customer to address any issues to them directly and they promise to make things right. Lastly, a well designed ebook is provided with this set and is full of tips for use and care of these tools. Highly recommend! Read more

As a licensed therapist I've been interested in the Graston technique but in research and logical thinking, my belief is that Graston created their protocol off the original ancient Gua Sha. However, the tools and training expenditures for Graston are unbelievably expensive. So for now, I'll stick with the ancient wisdom of Gua Sha.About the tools, They are very smooth, easy to hold, and incredibly conductive of the tissue beneath them. It is amazing how easy it is to feel the tissue restrictions, knots, lumps, and bumps. So far, my experience with these is a similar experience as in using cupping......where there is a problem you will see a change in skin color, where there is no problem - the skin tissue remains the same color or slightly pink. I've had the tools a couple weeks now. The clients I've used these tools on have had positive feedback and one client specifically asked could I "do that again" at his next visit. The smaller tool I am using on my own fingers and find the results no less than wonderful.I would recommend this set and I'm considering purchasing another set for use outside the office. Read more

I just received my set of Hana Emi Gua Sha tools and they appear used or poorly manufactured right out of the box. They have scuffs, scratches, and chips on each of the tools. The decal is printed on the stone in different shades and different quality. Overall these tools do not look brand new as they should be, whether that's due to poor manufacturing or the company selling used tools I cannot say. Read more

Ok, I am soooo pleased. I did a lot of research looking for the best Gua Sha tools. I actually just bought these to try them out cuz they were so cheap compared to the other ones, I wasn’t actually expecting them to be that great cuz the price is so low. Instead I am amazed how amazing they are! They are thick and heavy-great material! Not cheap at all! I’m so glad I decided to try these.Update: I’m leaving the 5 stars because this is a great price for what you’re getting. But I ended up preferring to use jade tools because they glide more smoothly - these were just a bit too rough for my skin so I don’t use them anymore (I have very delicate skin). Read more

This is an amazing value for a 4 pc. kit that includes a very nice slightly padded zip pouch w/ separators to keep your tools from breaking or chipping.Value pricing considered, I did not expect the quality to be exceptional, and I was right. The one drawback I can find is that the stones are not perfectly and evenly milled, so a couple of mine have some sharp-ish edges that I am careful with.All in all, I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend to someone new to Gua Sha. The stones themselves are quite breakable and easily chip, and this is true of more expensive stones/brands. So that’s why I suggest this one—as you practice holding & using the stones, you will invariably lose grip of one and it may not survive the fall. I chipped one of mine the first night i was using it! But I’m not worried—at this price I can replace it easily.If anyone is wondering what I found this helpful for, I used the stones to massage my face & next for TMJ pain relief, lymph detox, reduce wrinkles and fine lines and promote blood flow. You can look up lymph face detox massage points on YouTube. After doing a lymph facial massage, my skin is GLOWING and fine lines plump up. Deep wrinkles are reduced. Pores also reduce.
