I purchased this for my 7 year old grandson... who is too big for a car seat... this is the transitional seat. It is VERY easy to use. He buckles himself in using the shoulder harness. There is a piece that adjusts the shoulder strap to better comfort and safety for him. I am pretty sure this seat will last longer than we need it to - barring any accident - most people don't realize they need to replace boosters and car seats after accidents. I don't have a car and I tend to Uber/Lyft a lot. It's lighter to carry when I'm on the go with my 3 .5 yr old. He's really tall for his age(4 ft). I take public transportation and it's never in the way. It's not heavy, which was one of the issues I had with a standard car seat. By law, I have to have a seat for my child while in a moving vehicle. This seat has helped me a out a number of times. The small human was unavailable to be photographed but he was highly approving of the booster seat's design, while the larger humans approve of the construction. I've never had to set one of these up so getting the first arm in was more difficult than it should have been, but I did eventually figure it out. It feels sturdy and gets his belt placement in the correct spot. The instructions were a little dicey and probably could have been a little clearer when it came to assembly (or I might be dumb), but were very clear when it came to how to buckle the child in, which I appreciated. This is a cute booster seat, with an adorable dinosaur pattern that’s great for boys and girls. It’s pretty easy to install you just place it on your car seat. The issues I have with this are the seat belt drop to hold it down lower for the child, is constantly moving around and every other day I’m having to readjust this. Also I have some concerns with the safety of the seat, it slides around on the car, my kid is on the lightest weight side; however, it is still Supposed to be safety regulated for his weight. It is easy for the child to learn how to buckle in unbuckle, but I wish I’d stayed in place better as well as the seatbelt strap held firmly at his shoulder height. I had to do a bunch of extra knots and rig up a way to get the seatbelt to hold at the right level, and it doesn’t look the prettiest but it does the job. I do like the cupholders though, they are easy for the child to open and close and I like that you can talk them away when you don’t use them and there is 1 on both sides. Read more

In the past week, my 7-year-old grandson and I have traveled to three different cities with his Graco backless car seat. It has kept him safe in five different private cars and three taxis. In between, we have carried it on two airplane rides and the New York City subway.I love this car seat! It is comfortable, easy to buckle (my grandson can usually do it himself), and super light. In fact, when I was wrangling our suitcases through the subway turnstile, my grandson was able to carry the car seat himself -- on his head!I cannot recommend this car seat highly enough. Read more

But then we needed to get a different car and bought a sedan and then the seats were to close together to fit my oldest son between them. Bought this and it cut a couple inches off and fits great. Es un auto asiento sin respaldo y, como la mayoría de este tipo de asientos, no tiene de dónde "amarrarse" al coche (por ejemplo, latch). El asiento se pone en el coche, se sienta el niño y se fija con el cinturón de seguridad del propio coche. Si lo quieres poner en el asiento trasero de en medio de un coche, lo puedes hacer pero no va a quedar exactamente en medio, sino que va a abarcar parte de uno de los otros asientos (izquierdo o derecho) porque es un poco ancho. Pero si lo quieres poner en los asientos izquierdo o derecho trasero, te va a quedar muy bien. La calidad me parece buena y el diseño de dinosaurios igualmente se me hizo lindo. Al niño de 5 años que se lo compré le gustó mucho, dice que se siente cómodo y a él ya le incomodaba el asiento con respaldo (el niño mide 1.20m y pesa 21 kg). Además, es fan de los dinosaurios y el diseño fue como anillo al dedo. Tenía mis dudas de comprar el asiento porque yo pensaba que quizá sería mejor uno con respaldo, pero después de ver varios videos en YouTube de expertos, concluí que la mejor idea es poner el asiento en medio (sea cual sea) por si hay un impacto lateral, y fijar siempre bien el asiento (sea cual sea), es decir, asegurarse de que no queda "bailando" el asiento y el niño. El asiento es lindo en cuanto al diseño o dibujo de los dinos y tiene buen peso, lo malo de este artículo es que no tiene el arnés para fijarlo a los asientos del vehículo y por ende es muy inseguro para los pequeños.
