The base that came with our car seat was incredibly difficult to remove from the car. I wasn't able to do it, and had to enlist my husband each time. In short the button you push to loosen the strap gets caught under the base and is practically impossible to push down. You have to use all your body weight. Trust me I watched lots of YouTube videos to see if there was s simpler way. Finally even my husband couldn't get the base out of his car, and resorted to cutting the strap after 45 minutes of fighting it. We took a gamble on this base hoping it would be a little different and fortunately it is. We are so happy with this base both of us can get it in and out much easier. I love that it has a grey latch thing that punches the seat belt. It’s hard to explain but before you install the car seat you lift up this grey lever thing, bring the seatbelt through the appropriate slots, latch the seatbelt, tighten the belt and then push the grey thing down over the seatbelt. It’s pretty hard to push down but once you get it that car seat DOES NOT MOVE when you try wiggling! And it’s easy to uninstall the car seat. Read more

I purchased this additional base for my husband's car. We have the Graco Click Connect car seat & stroller travel system in Finley (the red pattern). The base that came with that package was easy to install and feels incredibly secure. This base was the one that said was the most accurate one to get additionally. I feel like the price is a little expensive considering for 120 bucks I got a stroller, carseat and base. The carseat does click in to this base. I used the LATCH system for both of our vehicles for both of the bases. The original base seems to be very sturdy and can't be pushed more than a little bit left or right. This base however, doesn't seem like it is tight enough. I can move the base quite a bit, and we definitely have it installed correctly. There seems to be an issue with the strap that tightens. It tightens up but then slacks. But you also can't pull on the strap to loosen it, so it's definitely getting locked in place. I don't know, it just seems not as safe. I wish we could've just bought the same grey one that came with the travel system originally. Read more

We bought an extra base for our car seat so that we do not have to keep reinstalling the base. It’s difficult to get any base snug and buckled down, this was easy, but it would be a hassle to pull this in and out. It is so worth it to just be able to set the car seat on in and go, hassle free! We have one in my car, one in my husband’s- so glad we bought a second base, makes things easier to coordinate with care takers. We may even buy a 3rd base for our daughters caretaker. Read more

This base is slightly different than the older click connect base. This is easier to install but not easier to use each day. The seat doesnt click into the base as smoothly and is hard to get out. Thats frustrating considering how heavy the carseat is with a child inside. You have to lift it out at an exact angle or it doesnt come out. I wish I paid less for the older model Read more

It's almost exactly the same one that came with our car seat originally. A bit updated, and easier to use actually. But has the hooked strap that connects to the seats directly as well as using the seat belt for added protection.It was well worth the money to have the ease of use to take the car seat to any of our vehicles without having to re-strap the whole thing to whatever vehicle we took. This is the perfect addition to the car seat I purchased. I wanted my daughter to be able to have this extra one to put in her husbands car so they wouldn't have to constantly be moving the base. For the price it will save them from having to worry about who has the base in their car and having to constantly be moving it.
