I was a Child Passenger Safety Technician for nine years. In that time, I have installed many, many seats and have specific training on installation and proper use. I’m also a mom, so I feel very confident in my ability to accurately review this seat.Pros:1. It installs very easily in multiple vehicles. I installed it in three and had no issues getting a tight fit and a perfect recline every time. I installed with both the seatbelt and LATCH. Even with a locked lap/shoulder belt, there was no leaning as can occur with some seats when the shoulder belt pulls up on the base.2. The seat and the base are both very lightweight. This makes maneuvering the seat easy... until you add a 20 lb baby, at least!3. The seat snaps into the base very well. I never had to twist or slide it around to get it to lock in. On the flip side, it also easily disengaged.4. It is a nice size and rated to 35 lbs. This is a seat most babies will be able to use for quite awhile.5. It is compatible with all Graco Click Connect strollers.6. The harness fits a newborn well and feels secure. It also adjusts easily.Cons:1. There is basically no padding at all in this seat. The cover itself has a tiny amount, but for the most part, the baby is sitting on hard plastic.2. The stitching on the harness material where it comes out around the thighs is awful. It is hard and pokey and jabs into the baby’s legs.3. The infant insert is basically useless. The head support piece is especially bad. Unfortunately, this will lead to people adding after market inserts to the seat and that is a big safety issue.4. The fabric on the seat cover feels cheap and itchy. The cover is also only held on my little pieces of plastic that tuck in.Overall, I gave the seat four stars. It installs well and fits a baby well. A seat that won’t install well is never safe. I feel this seat would be very safe and a parent would be more likely to install it correctly due to the simple install. That said, READ THE DIRECTIONS. Do this even if you think you know what you’re doing. Other than the harness stabbing the baby, my other complaints are comfort and cosmetic related. Great seat. After someone rear ended our vehicle we upgraded our car seats. I did lots of research and read many, many reviews for different seats, ultimately choosing this one. It has a special lever that makes it easy to install the base firmly in the car with the Latch System, I was so impressed. First disappointment, infant insert is very thin and tiny. I didn’t feel like it gave enough support for my little one so actually swapped it out for one from a Convertible seat we just bought. Secondly, it is really hard for my hand to squeeze the release lever to lift the seat free. It latches at both ends of the seat so sometimes the head end will release but the feet end is still caught. I am 5’ 3” and am kind of at full extension trying to reach to release the seat from the base which is located in the middle of the back seat in our SUV. It takes all my hand strength and I can just barely get the latch to release fully. If our vehicle was lower to the ground or I was taller, it might not be such an issue. Just a heads up for someone who doesn’t want to shake their baby around while trying to get the seat unlatched from the base. 😆 Otherwise I am very happy with the quality of the seat. Read more

Seat is barely padded. Baby screamed in it nonstop. She does NOT scream in our other carseat in our other vehicle. It is much better padded. Also the infant insert is not comfortable, nor are the little neck pads. Returning this item. Read more

This car seat is extremely easy to use, install, lightweight. The insert is great for young babies until you have to adjust the shoulder straps when they get bigger, then you just remove it. I love the shoulder pads for comfort. The floral print is my favorite part of this. I love the black and floral print. I have not seen another car seat like this anywhere in person. The seat cushion is not hard at all and my baby is very comfortable in it. I have another car seat in the Chico brand but that one is bulkier, heavier, and has more of angle that baby sits in and the cushion is not that comfortable. I ended up getting a Chicco seat for a little bit more because the latch system on this one is horrible. It has the little metal clips that are a beast to get unlatched from the car.I couldn't find any pictures of the actual latch system on the Amazon ad, but I figured it would be the same as the Graco car seat I have for my 3 year old. The one we have for her has a button to push that unclips the latch. Anyway, that's the main reason I'm returning.So update. I just got the Chicco car seat, it has much more padding and feels way more sturdy. The handle has a soft rubber grip on it, where the Graco is just hard plastic. The visor part feels much thicker and sturdier too. The padding in the car seat, and the infant insert, is much cushier. I can definitely see a baby being happier in the Chicco seat. Definitely worth spending a few bucks more to do Chicco. Read more

We had a preemie babygirl and she weighed 5lbs when she came home and me and my husband really loved this car seat for her she was super tiny for it but the hospital helped us fit her in there good.
