I have been using this seat for at least 2 years for my daughter. We were recently in an accident involving a semi. The impact was on the side of the car where my she was sitting. I have purchased four of these child restraint seats. I was recently involved in a car accident in which I was rear-ended and slammed into two other cars. My four year old was restrained in the Graco Affix Youth Booster Seat seat at the time. The car seat did exactly what it was designed to do and my child walked away with no injuries. While this carseat is quite easy to install, and the latches are nice to prevent it sliding around when my child is buckling in, this carseat don't not last. We use this only as our secondary carseat (thus, it doesn't get a lot of use), and adjustable back part does not stay put. When we adjust it upward, it immediately falls back down with even the slightest bump. Hence, it's a safety hazard at this point. We have tried contacting Graco customer service, but their customer service is one of the slowest I've ever worked with. First, we tried e-mailing, but it took three weeks for an initial response. In the meantime, we called. They sent us an e-mail with a claim number and initially wanted our receipt. We e-mailed it back immediately. They took two weeks to respond. Then they wanted a video of the defect, which is a reasonable request, so again we e-mailed back within the day. It's going on three weeks now and we have received no reply. Save yourself the money and hassle and avoid this product. We have two other Graco carseats (the 4Ever ones) that we love, but this booster seat is a dud. Read more

Fits great in my Honda Odyssey’s captain chair. The latch is an awesome addition- no more sliding on my leather seats or having to buckle it when not in use! The belt guide allows the belt to glide easily through- no more tangling and getting stuck, that I ran into with another brand booster I bought and returned for this reason. My 6 year old says it’s comfy and he loves the red color. The price can’t be beaten for the features this seat has, either! It also adjusts up to 20 inches shoulder height, which is great for a seat under $50. It should last any average sized kiddo perfectly! Read more

This is my second Graco Carseat (her infant was Graco too) , is easy to assemble and install, my extra tall 5 year old daughter 69lbs, 4' 1" feel comfortable and is easier to use on my Nissan Altima 2015 with the latch system. Have to upgrade from a Safety 1rst grow and go 3 in 1 that was really good, secure, and well padded but too bulky for a sedan , I used it in a SUV without any mayor problems. Still have a Safety 1rst Alpha Elite 65 as a 2nd carseat (her first Carseat forward facing) ,The Graco Affix color perfectly match with my Car color and look really good too. I wish the arm rest were adjustable. But after all is ok for the price. Hope I dont have to buy a any other Carseat as it convert to booster. Read more

Not happy with these booster seats (2), the headrest does not lock in the upper positions. Everytime I get the kids out the headrest is down in its lowest position. Got fed up readjusting them every time we stopped, took them out put them on the workbench and adjusted the headrest to a raised position. While sitting on the workbench the headrest would rachet down just by its own weight, no vibration or wiggling kid required. The is a safety concern, as the headrest self adjusts to be low out of correct position and the shoulder-harness positioning clip/guide lowers with it. This makes shoulder harness also position to low on the child. On the back of the booster seat I scewed the headrest to the base to solve the problem, but now l cannot adjust them easily installed in the car. The head rest racheting system is a bad design, there should be a recall on this car booster seat. Read more

Buscar un asiento para niños siempre es toda una odisea, si son muy baratos no brindan una protección adecuada, si son muy caros tienen cosas que no se utilizan, pero este, este se cuece aparte. La base tiene el tamaño ideal para no ser ni muy estorboso ni muy raquítico, tiene sistema latch, que al combinarlo con el sistema isofix del coche da como resultado que este se mantenga en su lugar, tiene también descansabrazos, un portavasos y un compartimento que abre y cierra para guardar cosas, la cabecera del respaldo puede hacerse hacia arriba para crecer con tu puchunguis y a los lados de esta tiene unas aberturas por donde pasas el cinturon de seguridad y le queda perfecto al niño o niña en cuestión sin lastimarle el cuello, además en rojo se ve de pelos, no aburrido como los otros colores que venden. A mi hijo le encantó lo cómodo del acolchado y le encanta el espacio para guardar sus juguetes y sus bebidas. A mi me incomoda que no pueda ajustar el cinturón fácilmente como el otro autoasiento. Me parece que no es tan apropiado para niños de 4 años la forma de ajustar el cinturón. Me parece más seguro el cinturón de 5 puntos que este. No le gustaron los ganchos "latch" se ven de baja calidad y me dejan insegura. El sujetador para el cinturón en hombro se suelta con facilidad. Es más recomendable para niños mayores de 6 años. Relación calidad - precio está muy bien, en cuanto a comodidad solo lo hemos usado en distancias cortas (viajes de 20 min) y mi hija menciona que no es lo más cómodo, pero va segura. Para una Mazda cx3 cubre un poco el broche del cinturón por lo que cuesta mucho trabajo abrocharlo, hay que estar moviendo la silla para lograr abrochar el cinturón. Read more

Excelente producto, compre esta silla por tener los ganchos isofix, ya que es la mejor forma de mantener la silla fija al asiento y por consiguiente tener seguro al niño. Vale la pena gastar 600 pesos más y tener el anclaje isofix, finalmente esta es una silla que acompañara el crecimiento de nuestros hijos por lo menos unos 4 años, así que bien vale la inversión. La usamos en una X-Trail y aunque es muy fácil de instalar y cómoda para mi hijo, es muy difícil mantener el cinturón de seguridad del coche sin que se enrolle. El instructivo de la silla dice que es importante que el cinturón no se enrolle para que funcione bien. Read more
