Please READ THE MANUAL. The first bad review I saw was of a sleeping baby girl whose neck was at a bad position because the parents DID NOT INSTALL IT PROPERLY!!! She is tiny and should be rear faced with the REAR facing positions of 1-3, and the straps should have been BELOW her shoulders, which would mean the headrest would be lower so she wouldn't be in the awkward position. ALSO, tighten the straps so you can't pinch them...My experience is that the installation is hard at the seatbelts lock off. I didn't use LATCH becaus my son is close to 40 lbs, so make sure to avoid LATCH and use the seatbelt if your baby is 40 lbs or more. If you front face, please chose positions 4 or 5, I like 4 because if my son falls asleep, the position isn't so steep for his neck. Make sure when forward facing, the straps are AT or slightly ABOVE shoulders.Comparison to Chicco NextFit Zip:-Chicco nextfit zip is easy to take off and wash-Chicco has more tilted position options, overall 9, and Graco 6-Chicco is giant Boat, very difficult to put in baby into the middle seat, a workout really!-Chicco has that side protection, which makes it a boat but Graco Trueshield also has side protection without the bulkynessOnly con for me:Lack of positions makes my son's head go forward if he falls asleep, I've read others with same issues.I bought 2 and will update my review as time goes on. I am really upset to write this. I love graco. It’s a brand I trust, but I would caution you on this car seat. My son is 4 years old, so I have this car seat front facing. Every time he falls asleep, there is limited neck support and his head falls to his chest and the next day he is in excruciating pain. Poor guy! The next thing, the safety latches. The use of the latch system is only available if the car seat is rear facing. Although in our other graco car seat - the 65 convertible car seat, the car seat can be front facing and I can use the latch system. So, not using the latch system makes me extremely nervous. Moved out kiddo into this car seat a little over a year old as she was outgrowing her infant seat. The adjustments were super easy to make so it fits her like a glove! We have the non-DLX version as well and the modifications they made to this DLX version are nice, but not a must. The cover does remove much easier, the center strap/button is in a better place to ensure a snug fit and makes releasing the shoulder straps easier. For the easy release and tighten reason, we wish we had 2 of the DLX versions but if your budget is tight the non-DLX is equally secure and easy to manipulate. Read more

I just purchase this about two weeks ago. It took me awhile to decide which car seat to get my son. I read a ton of reviews on many different car seats. I settled on this one even though my husband thought it was crazy to spend this much on a car seat. I'm glad I made the arguement though because I really like this car seat.Pros: easy to remove the padding to wash if it gets dirty. Just a few clips and such and boom its off. I also love that you can adjust the harness straps just by pushing a button and pulling up. Instead of having to take everything apart and readjust and then put everything back together again. I also love the adjustable seat positions and the extra padding. It's pretty easy to install to the car but uninstalling is a bit more difficult. I haven't heard and weird noises that some people were complaining about.Cons: Since purchasing this car seat I have noticed a few draw backs to this type of car seat. My son is 5 months old, so he still needs some sort of carrier while we're out in about. I can't put him in a shopping cart, so now I'm on the search for a carrier or sling that convenient and small enough to keep in the car for when we're out in about. The second con I have noticed with this type of seat is unlike the infant carriers that you can carry with you anywhere, you can't take these out or their not really suppose to be. Restaurants. Not that I eat out much but I have nothing to put my baby in when at a restaurant because car seat stays in the car. So now I'm also looking for a portable high chair for those situations because I had a carrier but I couldn't eat until the family was done so someone could hold him so I could eat since he was strap to my chest instead of putting his car seat in a sling like we could with the infant carrier. This carseat was worth the wait to be rolled out for purchase!! The ability to dismantle the carseat cover instantly, and without having to take the car seat out of the car has been a lifesaver!! Now I don't have to tolerate a nasty carseat cover until I had time to drag out the whole car seat and figure out how to disassemble it, just to wash the cover!!! This is our 3rd kid and we’ve been through a few car seats with the older 2. This one is hands down the best one we have owned. It’s so easy to install, making it easy to transfer between cars. I absolutely love that the seat cover comes off without having to take the seat apart for easy cleaning. The removable cup holders are sturdy while installed but I’m so glad they come off for me to easily clean them. No me gusto que las instrucciones no vienen claras, pero una vez que se logran entender es muy sencilla de instalar.No me gusto que vienen diseñada para autos grandes o mejor dicho para asientos grandes. Para instalar en autos pequeños si se puede pero hay que colocarles algún cojín para ajustar. (fue mi caso ).Se puede instalar con cinturón de seguridad y también con anclajes isofix, queda mejor con estos últimos. Read more
