For some reason my, my initial review has been removed. I ordered these for my then 14 month old son. Thought it was a great concept, but a bit pricey for one fork and one spoon, but ordered anyway to give it a try. When I opened the box I was surprised at how small these utensils were. I was excited to see how my son would like them. Unfortunately after ONE use the fork prongs were bent out of shape. Very disappointed. After I posted my review the company contacted me and wanted to make it right. They told me that the fork prong shouldn’t bend. These utensils are meant for little ones and should last a long time. I emailed back and thanked them for their customer service, and I would appreciate a replacement fork. Well it has been over a month and I haven’t heard back from anyone, or received a replacement fork. To top it off my review was removed. I’m very disappointed. Read more
Baby loved this spoon. Very easy to grasp and clean. Used it for three meals and then dropped it off the high chair and it shattered. I’ll order another one because he liked it so much but I’m bummed about how easily it broke. Read more
The spoon is okay....the fork is too small even for a toddler I feel.......the spoon is helping her learn to use a spoon and it's easy for her to hold, but these are just wayyyyyyy over priced.........There is no reason these should cost this much. Read more
My six month old figured these out very quickly. I am following baby led feeding and they work really well with foods that aren’t puréed. He can feed himself without the utensils choking him. Great idea, and they are definitely like training wheels for regular utensils! I wish they made toothbrushes for infants! Read more
My son loves these utensils he's 13 months old and he's always using his fingers. Within 5 min of putting them in his hands he was feeding himself with them. I love, love when my baby get's things so quickly and easily. I recommend for any parents who are looking for a smooth transition into self feeding. Perfect for his tiny hands. Perfect for mommy. Baby has been using them for about a week. She was self-feeding since about 5-6 months old. Feel as though the spoon is a little too large (hence the -1 star; the spoon seems a bit wide to go all the way in the mouth.) Right now she's picking stuff up with the utensils and picking the food off the utensil, then putting it in her mouth... trying to show her how to use it by example, but for now, it seems like more of an interesting toy for her to play with at mealtime. Honestly, she grabs the "big girl" spoon/fork and uses it better than these utensils. We may end up skipping these altogether. I would recommend having these around as early as possible when baby starts self-feeding so they can be more effective. Read more
I bought two of these, one for each of my 15-month old twins. Both already use a regular baby fork and spoon, to varying degrees. But I thought this might help them get food to their mouths a little easier. After unboxing, I was disappointed how small and flimsy they were, for the price. The spoon is useless for us, as it doesn’t help them hold it upright. Being a short spoon doesn’t really offer anything. My daughter was intrigued with these, but they are too small for her hands. My son couldn’t figure them out and just used his hands. I think adding a rubber grip coating to the handle would make these a little easier to use. They were impossible to pick up once the babies’ hands were messy. What I’ve learned from these is that my toddlers are too old for them, which is too bad because they are pretty nifty. I would recommend skipping these if your babies are already using other toddler cutlery, in any fashion. These are kind of a step back in progress. I just wish I had found them sooner. Read more
I’m just getting my 7 month old used to eating purées and this spoon / fork is perfect! I’m constantly on edge about safety things in general and adding a long pointy plastic thing that I try to navigate into her mouth while she unpredictably flings herself in all directions is no exception. I didn’t want to spend the money on these but I’m glad I did because I can feed her or let her feed herself without worrying she’s going to get hurt. Good quality and washes easily - I say get it! I bought a set of these for a very independent 6 month old, who refused to do anything with a regular baby spoon that I attempted to feed him with, other than look at me with defiance. After gagging on it several times, it was clearly time for a new strategy. These spoons are perfect. They're wide enough to slurp off, whilst the 'barrier' prevents the whole spoon being inserted at once. The nubby handle took a little getting used to. It's rounded, so often he'll grab it upside down and he still hasn't quite got the hang of swivelling the spoon around the right way. But that's not a design flaw, so much as it is a baby getting used to his own fingers. He seems to have a lot of fun plastering food all over his face, and he's probably ingesting at least twice what I managed to feed him directly, so I consider that a win!Recommended for independent little ones! These are one of my favourite baby purchases. They have been made with thought and perfectly designed for little hands. I purchased them when my daughter was only small so that she could feed herself. We are still using them now and she’s nearly 2. Because she used these from an early age she now has amazing coordination when feeding herself. I didn’t have these when her brother was little and I can see the difference in how he fed himself at 2 compared to how she is feeding herself. The flower design is great because it stops the child from pushing the spoon or fork too far into their mouth. The ball handle is perfect for them to hold and a natural position. The length is the best part. I used to watch my son eating with longer normal baby/ toddler cutlery and he struggled to bend his wrist enough to poke it into his mouth because they were too long whereas with this my daughter just easily picks it up and directs it to her mouth with no bother. Due to their size they are easy to take out with you. They are sturdy and quality. Even though she has eaten with them daily for a long time they are still in a perfect condition and not scratched on the ends from her teeth unlike other cutlery brands. Highly recommend these to any parents. Read more
The grabease self feeding cutlery is amazing. Baby can hold onto it really easy and put in into their mouth as there literally isn’t a handle so it’s shorter than average baby cutlery. Our nearly 9 month old has not used the fork yet but is having a lot of fun with the spoon at meal times so we can only recommend the self feeding cutlery. These are great for a weaning baby. Small enough for your baby’s little hand and that guard stops them from shoving the entire thing down their throat.Highly recommend this product. It’s also comes in a little pouch that is convenient if you plan on using it elsewhere besides home. Read more
It's the cutest little thing and it's so easy for baby to hold. My son is only 6 months old and he loves using it - although he can't actually use it to get any food into his mouth yet. Hopefully practice will make him perfect. Read more
