OK, FIRST, I have always had fine hair, not terribly thick, but as I get older (70 on next BD) it sure hasn't gotten thicker. I am also growing out a PIXIE CUT....been doing that about a year, and I have LAYERS, but the layers are getting long and unruly and if I don't want to SET it all the time, I just blow it out and then pull back my bangs (which are now past my nose).I CAN'T STAND my wispy fine hair floating around my face and in my eyes!THESE ARE PERFECT!!! My hair is SO FINE AND THIN, I have to wrap one around about three or four times, but it holds!SO FOR THOSE OF YOU who have FINE, THIN HAIR and WANT it OFF your FACE....THESE ARE AMAZING.They don't really look ruffly like the OLD TIMER SCRUNCHIES I had in the 80's, but that's FINE. They are just BLACK bands that ARE EASY on my delicate hair BUT HOLD! Read more

I like the scrunchies. I don't care. I have long, thick hair and need to have the ability to pull it back out of my face sometimes. For the longest time, like, all during the 90s I had big ole colorful scrunchies on my wrist for this purpose at all times. Then they where shamed to the point of my not wanting to use them. For the past ten years or so, I just used a regular hair elastic. Always had one of those on my wrist. Then very recently, I either dusted off a long forgotten smallish scrunchie, or I picked one up for bedtime use (wanted to get away from harsh elastics at bed time so I could maintain healthy hair), and I kinda fell in love with them again. Funny thing, is that I was seeing them in the stores again. I don't need the giant colorful scrunchies of yester year, but the small/medium in a dark or neutral tone is on my radar. I picked up some from the store and a few more here off Amazon (Goody is great!)- and my hair has been much happier for it. No pulling, no yanking out my hairs, no getting bound up in the elastic, and certainly softer on my wrist when not in use. SO I don't know where they fall in the yay or nay of the hair fashion world, but I no longer care. Go scrunchies! Read more

I love these and actually have them on subscription with Amazon! I use them daily. I don't really wear them out of the house because I'll admit, I don't want to look like I am stuck in the 80s. But they are a great solution to do your hair quickly and not leave a line where your poneytail elastic was. I blowout my hair in the morning, then just twist my hair into a bun and wrap these around. I leave them in while I apply my makeup and get dressed and then use some light hairspray with the scrunchie still in. I drive to work like that, and take the scrunchie out when I get there. In that approximately 30-45 minutes of time, my hair has had a chance to make some loose, beachy waves that last at least part of the day--with pretty much no effort on my part. I have fine, slightly wavy hair. I also sleep with one in so that my long hair isn't all over the place. The next morning, take it out and it looks great even if I am having a no-wash day (extra tip...try Batiste dry shampoo at night before twisting your hair into a bun and then applying the scrunchie). There you go...free beauty tip! Cheap enough that when they get worn out or get too much hairspray in them. I do wash them in the machine in a laundry bag, but I still replace them every few months or so. Read more

Scrunchies are the only thing I will wear to bed to keep my hair out of my face. I love that they don't feel damaging to my hair. These work just fine, and don't leave a dent in my hair but almost create an effortless beach wave. Read more

I also figured out these are perfect to keep yoga pants in place at your ankles when you exercise! If you have flared yoga pants (that you actually exercise in, not just wear to Wallymart), they always flop up to your knees when you lift your legs in a supported shoulder stand or are just doing floor work with leg lifts. I pop one of these over each ankle during class (black scrunchie & black yoga pants). Keeps the pant legs down in place nicely, then I can take them back off after. I don’t like to wear tight exercise leggings, so these allow me to wear what I want and be comfortable. Oh, and you can use them to hold your hair in a ponytail, too. Read more

These are great, soft and like a scrunchie should be. I like them for making a bun of the top of my head to sleep in when I am too lazy to blow dry my hair after I shower. The images here do not show the texture of the fabric, which I like. It is a striped texture. (See photo) Read more

Half of the scrunchies were just what I was looking for. They were the ones that are more textured. The smoother ones did not work as well, like they have less elasticity/recoil, or they're larger? I'm not going to cut them up or anything, but yes. I notice a difference, and I just checked them now. After making a double loop, the textured ones are smaller/tighter than the smoother ones. So for me and the amount of hair I have, the smoother ones are more likely to slide down - and that's what I don't like. I need a scrunchie that is going to be holding my hair in place; I don't need to be fixing my hair every 30 minutes. And you especially don't want these if you're going to be doing something important and can't be fixing your hair all day long.I think that maybe if a person has MORE hair than me, that maybe the smoother scrunchies would be better for them, because they'll have enough hair to hold the scrunchie in place. Otherwise, you'll have to triple the loops if you have SUPER thin hair or are only using small parts of your hair to tie up. Read more

Would not purchase again or recommend. I don't have thick hair and these only wrapped around pony tail twice with not much of an elastic pull. The pony tails or buns I attempted always ended up coming loose. Read more

Great price for the scrunchies, good quality and they arrived super quick. BUT, if you have thick hair, don't buy these even though they say they're FOR thick hair. They lie. I have a LOT of hair and I could barely get these wrapped around twice. So, too lose to hold my hair, too tight to wrap a third time. Read more

I have thick and naturally straight hair. Putting my hair up has always been a b**sh. I always end up having these stupid jagged flyaways and just wanted a simple neat bun when I was out home instead of looking like a complete mess.If you have a similar experience than these scrunchies are the bomb. Just don’t expect them not to make a bump. If you have thick hair you’ll know that just twisting your hair will do that on its own. Read more

These guys don't stretch much. I have long blonde hair, so it's relatively thin. I can hardly get them over my hand, let alone my bun. I wouldn't recommend these. They just don't stretch enough. They're like a child's size or something. Honestly expected better from this company. Or maybe these are just fakes. Read more
