Bought this for my wife to take on a trip to Europe because of its ability to handle the 250V voltage they have. She loved it. In fact, when she got back from her trip, her old hair dryer ended up on the bottom shelf and now she's using this one as her everyday drier. So hubby gets a pat on the back for this one!Now, it does have an American-style wall plug so for European use you need to get an adapter plug for whatever country you are going to visit, but this can be a simple $3 adapter, no need for a step-down voltage reducing plug which can be finicky and more expensive.
