I've owned a similar hand held dryer like the Gold N Hot Gh2275 Professional 1875 Watt Styler Dryer with Comb Attachments in the past and had to purchase another due to the first one cracking and breaking. The Gold N Hot Gh2275 performs well, I have 4B/4C natural hair and find that the comb attachment (my preference is the large, single row comb attachment) works well in getting the root and ends of my hair straight. The heat adjustments work well, as I've been able to get my hair fairly straight on the Med settings. The High setting does get H-O-T, so I would suggest to be careful, the heat from the dryer has caused some hot spots on my scalp (ouch!). Now let's talk about design:1. Structure - of the dryer is fair, it is a light dryer, so your arm will not get tired holding it, especially if you have long or very thick hair which often takes a while to dry.2. Attachments - work pretty efficiently, I've only used the comb attachments, both big and small and have gotten good results with both. I haven't used the brush and don't think I would for my hair type it wouldn't be an option.Overall, this dryer is works well for my needs. I would purchase it again. Read more

My wife loved this blow dryer. It worked great, and replacement combs were readily available. But $25/year seems high. We purchased May 1st 2018, received May 6th, and it died May 4th of 2019 (May the Fourth be with you). Just a few days out of warranty. The way it failed: The fan now runs much slower on all settings and smoke comes out, even in cool mode. Read more

I like the size and weight, but that is about all. Very noisy. I use the brush attachment, but after using on high setting for about 1 minute, the dryer overheats and trips. You have to wait 15 to 20 minutes before it will cool down and operate again. Same thing happens on the medium setting, but will go several minutes before tripping. So you have to start out on medium heat, dry as fast as you can (so it won't trip) and then turn it down to low to finish the dry. It is a pain.UPDATE: Now it will only run on medium for a couple of minutes. You can smell it getting hot right before it shuts down. This dryer is not that old and I keep it extremely clean. Doesn't anyone make a dryer with good stuff bristles like this one that will last? Read more

This dryer is great. Just returned a clunky, hard to hold conair hair dryer and went back to my old favorite, Gold n Hot! My last Gold n Hot lasted over 5 yrs of every day use on my long hair and was still working (but getting tired), so i will definitely stay with this brand. Its light weight, very powerful and lasts for years. It also has a rubber loop on the dryer to hang it on the wall. Great product! Read more

My wife was putting up with one of those ancient long-nosed models that did just an average job of drying her hair. This dryer was recommended to me and I got it at a great price! It is light-year's ahead of her old dryer and she's extremely happy with the drying results from this dryer. How great it is to find a product that is made well and performs well too. Read more

I actually bought this for use in my art studio and not to dry hair. I like the design for evenly distributing heat or air. The bonus was that it's quieter than most dryers I've owned in its range. It does produce good air flow on high and plenty of heat if you need it. There is a button so you can use it through it's full range with no heat. Overall for the money I think it is an excellent purchase. Read more

The brush attachment's bristles are too soft....not like the stiff, strong brush from the previous model, which I lost during an apartment move. Geez, I threw away the Andis for the same reason. I have coarse, wiry hair. I need a strong brush to give my hair a silky finish. The brush attachment needs to be modified to address the needs of thick and/or wiry coarse hair types. Read more

This dryer is ok. It doesn't straighten my hair as well as previous one I had and doesnt dry as quickly. Also, my smaller comb came with some of the teeth bent. I just hope the combs hold up. Me and my girls have lots of thick, long hair! Read more
