My original review was bad. I apologize to this company for that. It turned out to be operator error which my five year old realized before I did. Lol. So, just so everyone knows, this light works perfectly. The d switch turns the white light on and off so if you think it's out try clicking that button. The projections are amazing and night light mode is awesome too. My child prefers nightlight to the stars, weird I know. Love the rotating feature and how many different combos of lights there are. My child prefers the very last setting where the lights alternate for a rainbow effect.And, just so everyone knows, the day after I posted my complaint, the company tried to get in touch with me to resolve the issue. My 9 year old had a star light “bug” she slept with and my 2 year Old recently saw it. He wanted stars in his room so I got him this and it is WAY more impressive than his sisters star bug! Big sis was a bit jealous but I saw the look of love in her eye for this awesome star lamp. So, I ordered her one without telling her. She’s in love with hers!!I like it most because it’s got a plug. I used so many batteries on the other star light that didn’t have the option to plug in. This one has a battery option too, but keeping it in a fixed place with an outlet nearby is much better for us.Worth noting that my first shipment included an adapter for the usb to the wall outlet. My second order of the exact same item did not. I had an extra one on hand so it wasn’t a huge deal or worthy of returning, but it would be much more annoying had I needed to go purchase one. Really cute, soecial, sensual, romantic...yes all this. Bought to add more color and textured lighting to bedroom. The pics im posting are stars in blue mode but my camera is brightening the picture and making them look more purple than blue. Pros: super cheap, beautiful. My man LOVES it. Gets up in the middle of the night to reset the timer. Thats my main complaint...does it NEED to be on a timer? Also, it is a little flimsy. The outer dome doesnt click firmly into the lamp. But i dont use it anyway. I keep it off to project the stars. Oh...another con, its not strong enough to show up if the overhead light is on. Read more

Update: I was asked if a replacement product would be okay, I said okay but I haven't heard a response in over a week....Bought this a month ago, my daughter loved it and now all of a sudden it doesn't spin. I would never recommend this to anyone that expects more than a few months life expectancy out of it. I want my money back! Read more

The media could not be loaded.  First of all I love this little lamp . My toddler does not want to be in her bed only mine. Went in search of a night light and came across this one .(Daughter still in my bed but only half way through the night , lights let her fall asleep in her bed . No miracle worker lamp)1. Timer works great it goes from 5 minutes to 99 minutes. I normally set it at 99 because I love passing her room and seeing the lights .2 rotate function works just as well , u choose to have it stationary or have it spin . To me it looks better spinning .3 colors . There’s a lot to choose from one for every night or a combination4. Night light . Just keep the clear plastic cover on and u have a night light , haven’t use that function . Kids love the different colors.Overall I am happy with my purchaseUpdate. Update: The motorized base stopped rotating. Now the stars don't spin around the room anymore. It's a shame because I really liked it.I actually don't have a baby. I ordered this for me and my daughter because we are fun people that enjoy fun lighting. We like this light for singing living room karaoke, playing living room DJ, and funky mood lighting for sitting in the beanbag chair listening to lo fi hip hop. There is a timer function that works but I've only used it once. There is a frosted dome that you can use on top if you just want a colorful night light without a projector. The projector can rotate the stars around the wall or you can set it to be still. There are several different colors of lighting. One of my favorites is the blue and green lighting, which has a psychedelic vibe. The other light show that I like is when the lights transition quickly through all of the colors because it syncs up perfectly with the song Sakura Drops by Hikaru Utada. My one small dislike is that the box says that you can teach your kid "Astronomical Science" with this. It's not an accurate map of the stars ,so don't expect to teach kids the constellations with this. But it is a very pretty and fun mood light or party light, and with the frosted dome on it's a good night light. We are having a lot of fun with it. Read more

I received this product in a timely manner, but while I wasn't feeling well, so I initially overlooked the instructions. Once those were found, I then thought I didn't have the cord and reported the problem to Amazon because I couldn't figure out how to email the company. Within an hour, I found the cord between the sofa cushions and attempted to notify Amazon that the fault was mine so the company wouldn't get a mark against them. Nonetheless, I found an email from the company this morning and they were very willing to help with the issue and said they would mail a cord to me. I replied that I had found the cord and apologized for the chaos I'd unnecessarily created. They responded that they would make a gift of the cord. Now, about the product: I love it! I actually bought it for my cat who is so enamored of the Christmas tree lights that I thought this would be something she would like, and she does. What I didn't count on is how much I would like it--it's very soothing. We have a new baby in the family and in a month or so he will just be old enough to appreciate this, so I plan to get him one as well. Good product, good performance, good company to order from.
