I used to get constant vertigo attacks. I got tired of missing work and having to go to the doctor to get a shot so I can just barely function. I googled what could help with my attacks and found that ginger root helps. I bought these and started taking them everyday. I haven't had a vertigo attack in over a year. I will not stop taking these. Read more

Great product and deal. I know it works and it really is ginger because I’ve been taking it for 2 weeks and got stomach ulcers. LolThis warning is for those who’ve had ulcers - Ginger root should not be consumed in doses exceeding 6 grams per day. This may damage the lining of the stomach and cause stomach ulcers. ... Avoid ginger if you are at risk of internal bleeding or have gallstones Read more

Ginger root compares well with turmeric (which needs bromelain for digestability), but the ginger is bioavailable on its own, and less expensive. PubMed has numerous clinical studies comparing ginger root to Ibuprofen, with the two being pretty much equal. I've been taking 2 Ibuprofen, twice a day for aches and pains (being older). I wanted to remove or reduce the pharmaceutical, and tried these capsules. They work! Ginger works to repair the problems causing aches and pains. Ibuprofen simply masks or hides the pain. I tend to prefer fixing problems, rather than hiding them.Ibuprofen cancels the pains and aches, for me, within about a half hour. Ginger doesn't do that the same way. Instead, I notice the aches or pains, but about an hour later....I forget that I have them. LOL! I mean...forget? But as the day moves along, I actually don't notice the aches or pains. And ginger seems to last longer, and it's pretty hard to take too many. PubMed articles indicate you can easily take up to 3 grams per day (3,000mg). I'm only taking maybe 2-3 of these capsules over a day, so total 1,500mg.These capsules are a typical 550mg serving -- most ginger seems to be in this range. The only reason I held back from a full 5-star review is that the capsules are the largest size for capsule. If you have any problems with swallowing, this is going to be an issue. Additionally, ginger is very light in weight, and floats, so when you try to swallow, the capsule can get caught in your throat if you're not paying attention. All things considered, I've converted to mostly ginger, while still using Ibuprofen if it's a bad day. I pay attention, and if I'm having an issue with swallowing, I just combine 1 capsule with a spoonful of applesauce. Works fine. This is a great price for a good product. Read more

After feeling like I was eating omeprazole I decided to give this a try. The ginger root works quickly to stop heartburn and, as an extra bonus, it significantly reduces the muscle inflammation in my upper back muscles. (The muscle spasms are the result of having my car being rear ended.) This is a must have for me. Read more

Okay, here's what you want to know. Taking ginger once in the morning and once at three keep my stomach from getting upset, and I have way less gas and bloating. I'm also a very cold person, and when I take this, for some reason my body temperature goes up. I find myself eating less, and as a nice side effect, my pores are smaller. Ginger also has polyphenols in it so...yay. I hope this helps. Good luck. Read more

I use ginger for both stomach soothing and maintaining good white blood count. My sleep patterns are very erratic, often resulting in insufficient sleep. This can cause you to get sick, because sleep deprivation for just one night results in a significant drop in white blood cells. With ginger, I rarely get sick regardless of amount of sleep. The benefit of ginger for white blood cells became apparent to me when I had a dog undergoing chemotherapy. He was taking ginger for anti-nausea, but his CBC was always perfect. Until I accidentally ran out, and his white count plummeted. The night before his CBC, I'd read an article on the effect of ginger on white count. Hurried out to get more locally, and his white count was back to optimum within TWO DAYS.Ginger can interact with some blood thinners and diabetic medications, so please check for interactions prior to use. For as long as I can remember, I’ve suffered with heavy, prolonged menstrual cycles. I asked my doctor for a hysterectomy, but he said no and put me on birth control instead. Birth control doesn’t help and in some cases seemed to make the bleeding worse. These ginger pills are the only fast and easy remedy to help keep my cycles under control and I am extremely grateful! No prescriptions, no more suffering! Read more

I was gravely mistaken when I bought this product, many people do not know negative side effects of "silica", it is actually an heavy metal and it has serious implications on the reproductive system and affects fertility, I read a case study on this topic from Google and I also experienced this first hand from this product, i finished an entire 200 capsule bottle, to say the least it really damaged my fertility and luckily this condition is reversible, but still, one must ask, why do they put a heavy metal in a ginger supplement which was intended to actually help with hormonal imbalances? Silica is the word you have to watch out for, almost all of puritan's pride products have silica in them, these guys are doing more damage than good. Read more
