I primarily use wax for my eyebrow shaping. So, one of my waxer once recommended me to purchase thin Applicators.I browse through a few options & found them perfect for the job. Although, I did expect them to be a bit bigger. On the arrival, I opened the package & these applicators were surprisingly small, may be the image shown here is deceiving.Anyway, I’ve used them once to wax my brows & they work absolutely fine, in fact, I can now assure you that the size is very handy, also, easy to work with.Any side of the applicators can be used to apply wax, its entirely at your discretion. For example- For small portion of hair, I use the Thin side, simply dab the tip a little into wax & apply it on the required area! That’s all. I just came back to waxing after shaving for a few years. I used to use dollar store popsicle sticks that I would actually break in half to get the right size for waxing my facial area. I decided to splurge and buy these and they are great since they are the perfect size for waxing your upper lip, chin, and eyebrows. They seem to be a bit sturdier than cheaper popsicle sticks and I feel better about using these on my face and dipping them in my wax tin since there isn’t any good way to sanitize wood. I knocked off a star simply due to the price. For what I paid for I feel that they are overpriced since they are essentially smaller popsicle sticks for over triple the price. You can buy regular rounded edge sticks for $1 at the dollar store and save a bit of money. My package came with 103 instead of 100 and I appreciated that the company gave more than less to ensure that they didn’t short anyone since sometimes with items like these people get less than stated. Not sure if I’d buy them again unless the price goes down. I added a photo next to my Gigi wax warmer to get a good idea of the size. I haven’t tried waxing with them yet as I’m waiting for my Cirepil blue wax to melt and will update my review! Read more
I watched a hard wax tutorial and the woman in it "thought" she used these sticks, which in her video are about twice the width of the sticks my wax kit came with. I bought them on the basis of that, but these are definitely not what she used because these are literally tongue depressors, at twice the price.Save your money and look for "giant craft sticks" instead if you're tried of scooping up tiny amounts of wax. They work much better and cost $3.88 at Wal-Mart. Read more
Well, they are a bit smaller (lengthwise) than I expected which makes a bit harder to use. But, the angle is perfect for eyebrows and lip. Really that is the only useful area for these to be honest. And, it would be nice to have a smaller sized listing since I really don't need 100 of these. They are about the width of a popsicle stick but a tad shorter. Can't cover much area with these which is why they aren't useful for anything bigger than the eyebrows. Other than that..they are wood sticks. I didn't get any splinters so that's a plus...and that is about all there is to say I guess. :-) Read more
These are by far my most favorite applicators!!! I’m curvy and sometimes waxing at home can be a task. The edge allows me to more accurately apply my wax, no matter the brand, and I can create the lip way easier thus more successful pulls! I get better coverage and cut down my time it takes because of it. Read more
Love these applicators! They are perfect sizes for the different areas I'm waxing. The large were great for legs and arms. The smalls were great for eye brows, chin and upper lip. Really like the angled edges on the larger ones, less messy. The only thing I'd change would be adding an edge to the smaller applicators. The round edge still works great but I feel like they would be better with an edge like the large ones have. Other than that these are my favorite applicators! Read more
I wasn’t expecting the applicators to come until January 5th, but they arrived on December 30th. This is great; just in time to arch my eyebrows for tonight’s New Year’s Eve celebration! Each applicator is cut at an angle on both ends- which allows both ends to be used. I put a small dab of nourishing hair removal cream on one end, then applied it to the arch of my right eyebrow. The small applicator was easy to handle. The size made it very easy to apply the cream onto my eyebrow without the cream getting on an excess amount of hair. After 10 minutes, I removed the cream with a damp cloth. VOILA!! I am very satisfied with the results. I repeated the same on my other eyebrow, and I was equally satisfied- thanks to my applicators. Product page states "Proudly made in the USA" yet product delivered says "Made in China" completely misleading and false. The product itself seems to work fine but their advertising is a complete lie. Read more
Not bad for the price. I don’t know why but for some reason I thought they might be a bit bigger than what they are. So I have put them against a standard size biro incase anyone else wants bigger ones just so you have a size guide! Yet to use them so I can’t give a complete review but so far so good. Will update review if they are terrible! Read more
Ok, but these applicators were smaller than expected. The size was like a small ice-lolly stick, rather than a large waxing spatula that salons typically use. In the end, they were too small so not fit for our purpose, but would have been ideal for small intricate areas. The supplier should add dimensions to the listing, so customers know what they're getting, or include some photographs that show the product in context. Read more
These are fairly decent quality but a bit on the thin side, I've had quite a few split when stirring melting hard wax or when used for sugaring, in fact for sugaring I wouldn't recommend them at all. Read more
Excellent as baby spatulas for applying cream. Read more
Alot of stocks but they are quite sharp and splinter. Also not very flexible. I prefer a more flexible stick for waxing with Read more
