When I bought this GiGi Cloth Epilating Roll, I thought it would be thinner, like paper or plastic. In fact, it is the same thick, white, slightly squishy, slightly stiff synthetic material that came with the One Touch, Surgi or Clean & Easy roll-on waxer refills, none of which is available any longer. I never liked those strips, preferring to use cotton fabric instead. And I don't like this Cloth Epilating Roll. The material is too stiff and impermeable. It doesn't conform to uneven surfaces such as the bikini area, elbows, and knees. And it doesn't stick as well to wax as cotton fabric. As other reviewers have noted, wax will never come through it to the other side. That's because wax doesn't penetrate it, which makes it difficult to use with wax that is patchy or too cold. I like cotton muslin or just about any woven cotton or cotton blend fabric much better. The wax adheres better and bumpy, lumpy surfaces are no problem. I’ve been using these strips to wax my legs and underarms for years. They work great, cut easily with scissors and you cannot feel the sticky wax through them (like other brands/material strips). This material is thick, synthetic, like polyester construction paper, and it simply doesn't adhere well to the wax. Some of the time the wax doesn't pull away with the paper, so you have to put it back on, rub it into the wax, and pull it again. This is super annoying, painful, and unnecessary. And if, like me, you're a home-waxer who sometimes uses the same strip a couple/few times, you actually end up with more wax on your legs (or wherever) than you started with.I've been waxing for over a decade, mostly in salons, but at home too (exclusively now due to COVID). This material might work for you, but it's not working for me. I much prefer the muslin or muslin-like cotton material that is actually cloth (some people don't like the cotton pilling, but I don't mind it). These are much better than the last strips I used. I don't exactly know what my last ones were, but they are both from Gigi, but this particular material doesn't have as much stretch which is why I think it removed the wax/hair better and I don't think waxing is particularly painful in general, but I do notice that these are even less painful than the other strips I got. There was no size mentioned anywhere when I purchased it, so I just had to go by the image. For anyone who needs the size - 1.75"x4.5"Took off 1 star because of the packaging. The seller used a huge box to send such a tiny item. Very environmentally unfriendly. I wanted to take off 1/2 a star, but that's not possible.Update: Although I would have preferred something in between this and the large size to be able to use on the face, but also slightly bigger areas, this worked fine on facial hair and armpits. I just wrote a review for the Gigi All Purpose Honee wax and realized I bought the Gigi Cloth Epilating Roll in June 2019. I still have a huge roll left! I first started using this with the Sally Hansen All-Over Body Wax and used the Gigi All Purpose Honee when I finished up the SH one. Both adhere well to the cloth roll. I wax in small areas so I'll probably be using this roll for a few more years. The texture of the roll is nice. I like the SH kit but those strips are completely smooth and more sturdy / thick. These feel nicer and I think they follow along curves better (underarms for example). Read more

I bought these strips for my GiGi wax kit. I had ran out & decided to purchase a different brand for cheaper. Unfortunately, that was the worst decision ever. Hair removal became so painful.
