I am taking this product on the advice of my dermatologist in hopes that my basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas will be greatly reduced. The price of this product was good after reading good reviews from other users. I have not completed a whole bottle yet, so I don't think I will know how effective it is for some time. But after my third MOHS surgery for basal cell carcinoma, my dermatologist recommended 500 mg of nicotinamide 2xday for preventing any more skin cancers. I am NOT a DOCTOR. Just saying I read journals on skin cancer and since I have taken this twice daily with food, I had three basal cell cancers resolve ( slowly disappear) after a month or less a few times in the past four years.
