I have bought so many of the plastic, lighted, adjustable and expensive mirrors just trying to get a good look at myself when I put on makeup. I finally learned that I just needed good natural light, a good sturdy mirror that when I tilt it or set it down, it stays put and when I turn it on one side there is magnification and none on the other. The mirror was delivered by Amazon to the middle of my driveway, and then run over by the mail truck. The package was flattened with tire tracks on it. We opened it outside on plastic with the intent of taking pics of the pieces for a return and were shocked that the mirror was in perfect condition. Not even a scratch! Nice looking mirror, and the gold is a nice shade too. The magnification is clear and it does its job. Doesn't feel very sturdy though in the base (not as heavy as I would have liked) but for the price, it is a good choice.
