Of course this isn’t going to give you platinum. Especially that the toner conditioner is not strong enough. All good because I have a really great shampoo and conditioner. I use fanola and it has already started taking away some of the yellows and oranges. If you want it to be faster I know that Wella t18 is really good. Now for the bad. This product is obviously old. Did it do a good job? Yes but I used 2 boxes on my head from this seller when I ran out. The lightening cream was impossible to squeeze out and when cut open it looked like the inside was rusty. So as a lot of the other reviews started this it with, I picked this up instead of my regular bleach and it was recommended by a friend.I had my hair like 5 or 6 colors this year and am done with those for now and still had small patches of pink and whatever else from months ago, along with my beautiful roots in the before picture lol.So as you can see in the after, I do have some yellow going on and it doesn’t seamlessly blend into the rest of my blonde, which is to be expected of any bleach. I was checking the mirror all throughout my shower though and when it first rinsed out the top of my head was orange and I screamed; and then used the anti brass conditioner included and it turned from orange to yellow. So now I am going to touch up my roots again in a couple days and it will be perfect. I know my roots were pretty dark and I could’ve left it on for like 10 more minutes but I’m not mad about my result. I would rather have yellow roots than brown lol.I don’t know if I would choose this over my regular bleach next time I need it, but it was a nice product! I will add that my normal bleach basically burns your nose and it does itch and burn on your skin (something that sounds crazy but I just deal with it lol) and this product did not have overly smelly fumes at all, smelled like the regular garnier dye, and didn’t itch or burn or anything. I went with this brand because I've never done anything to my hair before and, like most people, I was super scared of bleaching. Now, most of the things that went wrong were entirely my fault (patchiness because I didn't distribute evenly) and more of a symptom of inexperience than anything, but, because my hair is SO thick, I think I really would have benefited from going to a Sally's Beauty from the get go.I bleached my hair TWICE with this same kit (starting from natural black), and it still needed a third bleach to get it light enough to take a pink color.Overall I think the formula may have just been too gentle for my hair to lighten up enough in the allotted time frame. If your hair is already a lighter color then black, or it's a little on the thinner side, this will probably work great for you, I especially liked that the smell was low. If you're hair is thick (strand, not quantity), and dark, you might benefit more from going to a professional seller to see what they recommend (what I ended up getting for the third bleach was only a couple bucks more than this kit).Good luck! I don't know, but this made my hair white. I was very happy. I used it on the same day that I used about four other bleache sthough and it was way stronger than expected. I used a homemade color lifter, which made my blach hair a really brassy brown. Then I used a blonde which made it a lighter brassy brown, and another blonde which made it a brassy honey. I then used Splat- worse bleach ever btw- which got it to a light light orangy blonde. This dye here, put over that, made it white. I did get a lot of chemical burns from it though, on my neck and ears, but this was mostly because I used gloves- which I dont normally do- and it got on my skin. My scalp was already damaged from all the bleaching, so it wasn't this one's entire fault. Just be careful when you use it, it did burn my ears and neck and made parts of my black hair platinum blone when it touched it for a minute. Read more
