And made it very dull.(You know how you forget, and think: "Awe, maybe I over reacted and it wasn't -that- bad?".... Well, it WAS that bad)Cons:-This is NOT "light" copper. It turned my medium-light, auburn hair, near brown. I'd call this a reddish-brown.-Much darker, and more brown results, than the box chart implies.Pros:-Milder scent than other brands. (I have scent sensitivities, so this is a major plus).-It's thicker so it doesn't drip, yet it spreads easily.-There is enough product to cover at least shoulder length hair (mine is just past my shoulders). I've been using this shade for about 2 years. It's very easy to use and doesn't require any bleaching on my naturally sandy brown hair. I do a root touch up every 6 weeks. I have never experienced any damage using this product and hair feels soft and full after each use. I had no idea what to expect. But with almost an inch of gray accumulating during this Pandemic, I had to make a decision. I too had been brainwashed by my stylist to believe that only a professional can put color into my hair since I'd lifted my color from jet black to warm brown to deal with the grey hairs. It does help though to have been to a salon first for color treatment experience to know the steps to do. Things the box doesn't mention to: 1) Wash hair w/clarifying shampoo 2) Blow dry hair until 98% dry. 3)Apply. 4)Wait 5)Rinse, Wash, Condition, Deep Condition with heat cap. 6)DoneSure, it takes all day (few hours) when you do this yourself, but for $7, it's more than worth it. Ginger Snap 643 Light Natural CopperI was reading a ton of mixed reviews about this hair color, so I thought I would share my results. I have naturally dark brown hair, but had recently had a hair stylist dye it a medium copper color, so it lifted my natural color quite a bit. As with most red shades, it faded pretty quickly and with my roots coming in, I thought I should try to find a box dye to maintain rather than going to the salon all the time for touch ups.So for those who are saying, “beware, the color is brown” that isn’t at all what I experienced. It really turned out a nice warm toned copper! It perfectly lifted my roots (which are dark brown) for an even all over color. Very happy with the color results and once I stepped outside in natural light, it was a perfect match to what it indicated on the box.To address the dullness complaints, yes, I did find my hair to be dull after naturally drying it. I also find that this is a pretty normal result with box dye right after rinsing it out the color. After adding my regular styling products, it looked exactly the way I expected it to look and exactly what I wanted. I have very long hair almost to my waist, normally dark brown, but now in my 60's I'm getting quite a bit of grey in the crown and temples. I decided it's time to start gradually going a little lighter because the dark brown color of my natural hair color turns out too harsh against my pale mature face when I use dark brown color on it. This product color softens my features, and my hair looks like that of a much younger woman, and compliments my hazel eyes.This product goes on fairly easy and didn't take me very long to complete the process. My hair is straight and fine, and leaving it in according to directions was perfect. I just love this color. I’ve been using this light ash blond ( 111) for a couple years now. I naturally have dark ash blond hair , this light ash looks great and almost always leaves me with a Natural looking color , like I’ve been out in the sun and it has naturally lightened. Every now and then if I rush the application I end up with a few days of freshly dyed brassiness. I wash with purple shampoo and it still looks great. This dye is easy to use , my waste length hair has not been damaged horribly from using it and amazon has a good price on it. Happy with my last 6 orders.
