I love this product which I cut with 1/2 water to thin it. It goes on too thick for my fine hair otherwise. I spray it on my wet hair and comb through with a cheap nylon brush to get tangles out. Let dry naturally scrunching occasionally and using light hold misting hairspray to hold curl...or dry with diffuser if in a hurry. I’ve tried at least a dozen curl enhancing products since my formerly stick-straight hair went sideways (read: way naturally wavy) when I hit early menopause lol. I’ve used this well-priced product regularly for over 3 years.Yes I tried the fancy brands I don’t need to name. I even called the company to verify that there’s no alcohol in this product; as of February 2020 they claim no. They said that 3 years ago too.Lately it seems like they might have reformulated this as it seems to be less effective. And don’t count on using the last 10-15% of the product as it becomes impossible to use the spritzer-sprayer bottle. So I just add a bit of warm water and comb it through my hair and let it air dry. I like the hold and feel, although it gets a little crispy. But you really can’t just spray it on your head as it goes all over the place and is very slippery on the floor. So spray it into your hand and apply. Read more

This just made my hair feel "crunchy" and stuck together when dried. I applied this on damp hair. It's a pretty thick formula so I think it left some film on my hair that made it feel like that. I've used a curling spray before and that worked great for my wavy hair. However I believe this would work better for curlier hair, thicker hair types. Read more

I bought it because I saw such great reviews but it didn't work for me at all. On day one, everything seemed fine. But after my hair was so entangled that I had a massive hair loss and a balding patch on my head trying to get the product out of my hair. I didn't overuse or overspray the product at all. I will definitely not recommend it for someone with thin/fine hair. It left my hair crunchy and stuck together, which lead to hair loss trying to sought out the mess. Read more

The gel might be fine but it's so hard to use in a spray form. Gel is thick and getting it to spray out is impossible. It comes out in a single shot, not a useful spray that goes all over the hair.
