My 8yo son was having lots of tummy troubles- (we are currently having him tested for celiac disease and others) but his stomach was bloating and his gut was in distress. After changing our eating habits to more ancient grains, veggies and fruit- weeks later he was still bloating out. I looked into probiotics and found this one, which happened to be organic. After just a few days he was having normal stools, and after a week his stomach wasn't bloating out. He loves the taste and has been taking them everyday for about 3 months. We've discovered that on days where he eats more carbs (pizza bday parties, etc) we have him take two- (morning & afternoon) and no more bloating! This product has been great for my 5 year old. I was looking for a good chewable probiotic that wasn't a vitamin. I like that this only has vitamin C and D added. It has really helped keep my child heathly this year. He has food sensitivities and seasonal environmental allergies and is often sick with runny nose, sneezing that becomes a cough and often has tummy upsets. Since taking this his gut health has improved and was only sick 2 times this year which was a huge improvement. Bad flu this year and he didn't get it. Starting kindergarten kids are often sick a lot and as we watched others in his class sick often he wasn't. I really feel this product is what helped. This is amazing, as all Garden of life stuff is. My daughters always had tummy and intestinal problems since birth. Like intestinal bleeding bad. She gets thrown out of wack easily. She’s 3. Her dr always recommends Culturelle, which never really seems to do much, even with her on it for months. You gotta remember drs get hit up by pharma reps weekly pushing their product, and no doubt Culturelle is one of them. And it’s more expensive than this! So, she was on the age appropriate Culturelle for over 6 months. NO change in her, stomach discomfort the first month and then nothing. I finally got so frustrated I did what I should have done from the beginning. I bought a brand I KNOW would work, and like magic, a couple weeks in, and NO discomfort later…my little girl feels a million times better. She’s regular on her own, no tummy aches, nothing. We have started using this. Whole ones are too strong so have ground up and used about 1/4 a day. I am not sure if the lower dose is doing any good as yet.Taste is quite powdery and a bit unusual. Called strawberry and banana flavour. Read more
