I love Garden of Life products & purchase them frequently. I was excited to see their line of essential oils and for the price I went ahead and ordered my two favorite oils as they were a better value than the other brand I usually purchase. However, the lavender oil smells terrible. It smells like lavender mixed with wet dog. Lavender is hands down my favorite oil/scent and I know what authentic lavender smells like. This was not it. I don’t know if I got a bad bottle or what but I will be returning and purchasing the previous brand I used. Read more
Great quality! I have lupus and suffer from stomach aches from my meds. I put a few drops in my water and I HAVE NOT HAD A STOMACH ACHE SINCE!!!! I also used it for a headache for myself and my mother. Headache gone in 5 minutes. No need to take medicine that is bad for your liver!! Read more
To me this smells like a wet cardboard box that once had lavender in it. Not good at all. You don't have to deal with it long, though, as the scent completely disappears after about 10 minutes. Read more
I love the garden of life brand for vitamins & supplements. The essential oil is another great one. I'm not sure why other reviews complain of scent. It's very similar to other high quality brands I've purchased.Reduced this 5 star to 3 stars. I love this oil but the glass bottle has now broke on me with 2 separate orders...wasting all that was in it. Expensive waste that's very upsetting. Read more
Sent to my father as a gift to accompany the diffuser I bought him. He said he likes it! I know this oil is a bit more expensive than others being sold, but wanted natural and organic. My father always gets headaches and sinus issues so thought this may help. Read more
The lavender scent is the worse one I have ever used. I have been using lavender essential oil for many years and I even bake with it. Mostly, I use the lavender and other oils every night in a diffuser. This particular oil doesn't have the relazing lavender scent. It also didn't last more then few minutes in a diffuser. I chose Garden of Life as I've used their products for 20 yrs.Lavender is good for headaches, restless leg, and just for calming down.I use at night and the grandkids always ask for the oil that helps them sleep.Essential oils can be expensive, but this one is reasonable as no multi level pricing.
