I wish I bought this 4 years ago! My four year old has extremely fine hair. She screens and crys ever time I brush it. I’ve tried every shampoo and started putting conditioner in her hair to help the tangles. She still wines and cried that I was hurting her when I brushed her hair. It’s important to me that her shampoo doesn’t have toxins so when I saw this I decided to try it. OMG, it’s amazing! No tangles whatsoever!! I have 3 kids under the age of 8, and finding a product that everyone will use is very difficult. I was pleasantly surprised when they all approved the cute monster design. We are a family of 5 with one shower, you can imagine my joy when we could replace 3 shampoo and 1 conditioner bottle with 1 bottle! That is worth 5 stars. All 3 kids approve the shampoo/condition-- no one had tears. I have the coconut sent, and enjoy it. It is not overwhelming and all kids think it smells nice. My 8 year old said "it's good" about the 2-in-1. She has shoulder- lenght wavy hair, and had no problems brushing her hair after her shower. Her hair is known for getting a little knotty, but the conditioner works really well in the 2-in-1. I also tested this product, and my hair feels soft and bouncy (have curly hair). Not sure why this has great reviews. I ordered this thinking it was healthier for my kids and many said it detangled hair as well but I didn’t have those results. My kids have very fine thin hair that tangles up easily and this did absolutely nothing to help with the tangles. I also thought the natural ingredients would prevent product build up on their scalps and after using this on them for a couple months they continue to get flakes. I wish I got the same results other reviewers did with their kid's hair. My kid has full, thick hair that is mostly straight but with some wave to it and about shoulder length. This stuff has made my kids hair feel very dry. The tangles are RIDICULOUS after her baths. I have to slowly pick out each snarl while she complains the whole time. Cute bottle, nice scent and seems like a good product due to all the "natural" statements they claim. Too bad it just destroys her hair. I tried adding my own conditioner to it to make it useful and not have to throw it out. But it still is so dry afterwards. Read more

We had been using Babyganics baby wash until my 4 year old boy's hair started to feel like straw, and decided we needed a dedicated shampoo with conditioner. We found Fresh Monster on the EWG.org website, and I was very pleased with the non-toxic ingredients. The shampoo smells heavenly like watermelon, but doesn't linger after it is rinsed. It makes my kid's hair so much softer and it is easier to control. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is that I wish the bottle was a little bigger for the price. It takes about 2 pumps to get a good lather (and this is for a short haired boy), and it's been only 2 weeks of daily baths and we are already 1/4 out of the bottle. For the past 3 years, I have been using Burt’s Bees shampoo and body wash on my babies and now toddlers. I started noticing that my daughters hair seemed greasy by the end of the day. I don’t think the shampoo was rinsing out well. I found this one, mostly because it’s free of bad stuff, and I am SO happy with it. It rinses out so much better and my daughters hair is so soft and fluffy. And it stays that way until the next wash! I bought this for my 4 year old. She has thick hair, but I’ve never had a problem with tangling. However, not only was her hair extremely hard to comb through after using this product, it also felt very brittle … like combing through straw. Seeing the other reviews, I am seriously questioning the integrity of the product. I switched back to her old shampoo and immediately saw an improvement. Read more

The shampoo is lathery enough and provides conditioning that isn't excessive. Smells great even though it's not supposed to have toxins, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, dyes, synthetic fragrances, BPA, gluten or soy. Amazing! Read more
