These aren't as soft as I would've liked, but they work really well and fit the mattress perfectly, even when layered. I like to put down a waterproof cover, a sheet, another cover, and then the second sheet to make redressing the crib easy for a middle of the night blow out (works perfectly for a potty training toddler in a toddler bed too) and the added thickness wasn't a problem for the fit. Only thing, is that they don't last. The elastic fell apart in one of the sheets after 8 washes (I wash all baby clothes on delicate, so that is really pathetic) and the elastic of the second sheet fell apart after 15-17 washes. After much searching, I finally found reasonably priced WOVEN sheets. I had no idea they were not a "thing" anymore. Considering my own experience with knit sheets and the "burrito" effect, I'm surprised anyone would let their baby NEAR knit sheets.Due to the nature of woven vs. knit, they are not as soft (but still reasonably so. 100% cotton is pretty soft on its own) or stretchy, but there is adequate give in the edge elastic to make changing easy, as well as enough space to double layer in times of illness.I have not bleached them, so cannot comment on true colorfastness, but the color has stayed bright through quite a few washes on Warm, and one on Hot.I highly recommend this product. I almost did not buy these because of the other review which said the colors weren't nice. But I really liked the pattern so I thought I'd give it a try. I have also purchased towels from this vendor, and I LOVE those. I am not sure what the other person was talking about. The colors are vibrant and very nice. It looks very much like the picture. The quality is extremely good especially for the price. The fit is also great. I am going to buy more of these sheets. Too bad they don't make toddler sheets.
