I have terrible cracked heels and callouses and go to my podiatrist every two months--I am borderline diabetic, type 2. This worked really well and I noticed a BIG difference after two applications. In the beginning, at home, I massaged it lightly into my feet after showering--if feet are damp, you can use a bit less as it goes further. Then I put ankle socks on and slippers-- or shoes if I am going out. At the end of the day I do it again, and put ankle socks on until I go to bed ( cannot sleep with socks on ). I live in the desert in California where it is really hot so I take 2 showers a day. I alternate with using KERASAL- which is an foot ointment. Now that it's all under control, I use KERASAL ( see product link ) only once every week to week and a half, as it is a bit greasy as it is an ointment, and This HEEL BALM every other day, as described above. It is best to wear socks of some kind during the day. I have bought this Flexitol Heel Balm several times through Amazon, I read somewhere about how great this product was and I had to try it and I am sure glad that I did. I think I have just purchased my fourth to fifth tube of this product. I do not have severe dry cracked heels like they show on the box, but I do get pretty dry skin on my heels. Because I love being bare foot and wearing sandals so much I really try and take good care of my feet. I feel like most lotions don't really heal dry skin or actually moisture it, they just mask it and as soon as you wash it off its the same. this product actually seems to not only moisture the skin deep within but also exfoliate the dry skin away. I have been putting this cream on my feet for a few months now every night at bedtime, I know it says to use twice a day and maybe if I had I would have had faster results but just at bedtime has worked great for me. I did notice results from the very first use. The other things that I like about this lotion is that its not greasy, nor does it leave any type of residue, and it rubs in very nicely. I am on day 4 of using the cream. I have nasty feet - always have. They have gotten progressively worse throughout the years - at this point they feel like rocks, rather than skin on my heels. I developed a pretty big crack on one foot, with multiple fissures on both. Well...at day 4 the large crack is nearly gone! I do think that wearing socks at night is the key. I can't say I've noticed a difference yet in the softness of my feet...but I am hoping. I do use a pumice stone daily to remove some of that old yucky skin. I rate Flexitol as a top product for crappy heels, toes, feet. I have used this for many years but never bought it on Amazon until recently. From now on, Amazon will be where I purchase Flexitol (for the inexpensive cost).The reason it works so well is because it has urea as a major ingredient. Urea is wonderful for dry, cracked skin. I am a retired nurse who had hands as dried and cracked as you can ever imagine; then I tried it on my feet. This stuff works. I use very little to get results. If you buy this, you will definitely see results overnight. You might think it is too expensive, but it is not. After using this for a week twice a day (or even once a day), your feet or hands will be soft and not cracked at all. Take it with you to work & use it whenever you can...just a smidgeon. The only thing I found that actually works! SO many products out there claim to fix dry/cracked feet, but are basically just lotions. I never had a problem with dry feet until last summer when my heels started to crack. Painful and unsightly. I tried Vitamin E and every expensive lotion out there, but when nothing was working I did some research and found that the ingredient in this produce, "Urea", is proven to heal cracked skin.
