I've used EA Flawless Finish Sponge-On for years and years. I have very oily skin, so this makeup would seem counterintuitive to most since it has a creamy/oily texture. Well, I've never found a water-based product that would stick throughout the day and touch-ups were never successful. This EA creamy cake stays on better, covers skin discolorations--even my darker old-age spots, can be retouched easily and helps to hide large pores. I can even gently blot my face with a Kleenex and this makeup doesn't come off easily. Plus, I have very sensitive eyes that water like crazy with some other brands. Never had any problem with the sponge-on. I can't tell you how many times I've been told what a nice complexion I have. It's absolutely this product. Without it I would receive NO compliments at all. I have been using Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge-on make-up for 35 years. I have tried a few different products (some much more expensive) just to see if they might be better but NOTHING has ever made my skin look as smooth & youthful as Flawless Finish. I have people tell me all of the time, what beautiful skin I have. Unfortunately, when I was younger I didn’t understand the importance of sunblock. I use Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup SOFTLY BEIGE 1 05 for almost 40 years. Sometimes I have problem with the color because the color that I use to buy in my country was different from the USA. I bought one from China and it was really light. I was asking my family in Texas to buy several boxes at once and send them to Hawaii because I was sure the color there was for my skin tone.I've been indoors more now and my skin got lighter so I wanted to try another tone. I bought PERFECT BEIGE 03 and compare it with my make up but it was daker than the Softly Beige 1 05 I used. I returned with no hassle and I bought PORCELAINE BEIGE 04. It was just perfect for my new skin tone.I love it and I recommend it. I apply Banana Boat Faces 30 as humidifier and then I apply the Elizabeth Arden make up. Then I use a little bit powder and remove the excess. My skin is wrinkle free and for year I got complimments for my beautiful skin. I always say is thank you to the combination of products that I apply to my face.I'll buy the same product agan. I love this product. It's so smooth and easy to not get too much on. It also lasts me a very long time as it doesn't take much to cover. The sponge applicator works well and can be replaced when it gets tired. I like this makeup much better than the regular foundation in a bottle. That stuff is thin and then your skin looks blotchy as it dries and you can feel the stiffness of it, where this one with the cream, stays smooth and doesn't dry out easily. As we age, I think this cream product looks allot more natural too and like I said, you don't need much. I I have been buying this for several years and it works great for me. I really wanted to like this product. I have used this item daily for 3 weeks and I had to return it. It wasn't worth the price and the item did not deliver what it promised. This product might work for other skin types but for mine it did not work.My skin type: Light/fair, Asian, combination type skin (some parts oily some parts dry)Color I chose: Ecru1. Choosing color was very difficult: One of the hardest thing about this item was picking the right color! Fortunately the color "Ecru" was perfect for my skin tone as I am very light skin with some red acne marks and brownish acne scar on my cheeks. I am giving it two stars instead of one b/c I liked the shade of "Ecru" and how it fit with my skin tone.2. Minimum coverage* unless you want to cake on layers of product on your skin and look very pasty and unnatural. This was my biggest complaint. I was looking for that flawless coverage but for me in order to achieve something close to "flawless" I had to put A LOT of product and my skin looked very dry and patchy = unnatural3. Dried out my skin: I can't blame this product entirely, but since using this product, my skin was very dry throughout the day.Overall, not blown away and not satisfied - esp. for the price! I have used Elizabeth Arden's Flawless Finish for many years and just love it. Being pale skinned I have found it perfect for blending with my skin tone. The beauty of this foundation is that one really needs very little to look good and it lasts throughout the day until I remove it with a little baby cream or make-up remover. I am in my mid seventies now and still get kind remarks about my complexion which one is never to old to enjoy genuine compliments. Very disappointed with this product. Arrived opened and all smashed inside. As well the smell of it is very industrial like birned tyres. Looks like the original product has been replaced with a fake one as I've uses this before and the smell is surely not the same. Read more

Always used Elizabeth Arden, Flawless Finish in the black compact, perfect beige, but as it seems to be discontinued, bought this as a replacement, much more expensive but planned on using it as an occasional foundation rather than an every day one so didnt mind too much.But I'm disappointed hugely, the compact is somewhat flimsy, you have to lift the foundation tray up to get the sponge, so you need to be careful not to put your finger in it, it's all a little fiddly to be honest.The foundation tray is small, I feel a bit ripped off.Texture seems drier than the flawless finish one too and I think the colour is ever so slightly darker.All in all I much preferred flawless finish compact to this.I'm not buying this again, way too expensive for what it is. I used this foundation 30 years ago and loved it, now in my 50s thought I would buy it again lesson learnt don't go back. There are so many better foundation now times and technology has moved on , gives a real false look and sticks to nose area and eyes and pores, would use as a concealer or if you have any blemishes /scars/ birth marks would cover up well, no good if you like a fresh natural face. This is my 4th one of these so they must be good! I also bought one for my friend's birthday and she loved it too! It has a nice consistency which means it glides on well (TIP: wet the sponge first for a sheer look) and it sort of sets well and lasts throughout the day.
