My son is currently 2months old(weighing 15lbs) and we own just about every type of baby gear you imagine.. a rocker, swing, bumbo, Stand/Air n’ play, etc. Even though my son is on the bigger side, he still needs to learn how to sit up and hold his head up perfectly. I noticed a pattern that he no longer wants to be in a lay down position and would just prefer to sit up on my lap or be held in a sit up position. I GOT TIRED OF HOLDING MY BIG BOY FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME(don’t judge >.< back pain was kicking my rear). I attempted to put him in the bumbo once and NEVER RECOMMEND it because there was not much support! I found this FP sit me up and ordered IMMEDIATELY!The millisecond I plopped my son in this bad boy he was lovin’ it! He hasn’t managed to grab at the dangling toys yet but he just loves to sit up on his own and look/talk to everything! I’m able to cook, clean and just relax while he entertains himself in the darn thing! My son loves it and my back definitely loves it! Highly recommend!! Read more
Admittedly, I was remiss with tummy time in the first two month's of my daughter's life. She hated it so much that I just didn't want to put her through it. I actually bought this chair (I jokingly call it her 'recliner' because her dad has one, lol) to help her strengthen her neck muscles. I *always* supervised her while she was in the chair as she would often get tired and begin to slump her head, eventually falling asleep with her forehead on the tray. (I wouldn't leave her there long.) Anyhow, it did help her because each day she'd get a little bit stronger. I like to put it in the kitchen while I'm cooking or washing dishes so she can be a part of the action. I've also put it on the kitchen table (again, always supervised and in the center) while I sew. It opens (only one hand needed) and collapses (both hands needed) so easily. She's now three months old and sits in it quite well. As long as she doesn't have any gas at the time, she seems to enjoy (or at least be content) in her little recliner. I think we'll use it as long as she fits in it. Read more
Easy to put together. My baby is 2.5 months, she's had good control of her neck for several weeks and loves to sit up so I ordered this so she can sit up without having to be held constantly. She was all smiles the second I put her in it. Highly recommend for curious babies with good neck control. Read more
Putting it together was very simple. Took barely two minutes. The online description didn’t have a weight limit. When it arrived the box says the weight limit is 25 lbs, so I was glad it should work for my 17 lb 11 week old. Nope! He got stuck! It took two adults to get him out while he screamed. Also, if you put it together only to find it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t disassemble. It can’t go back in the box it came from for returns. I bought this for my baby when she was 3.5 months old. It was really great to have something she could sit up in that was so portable. The little loops for toys on the front are nice, and the seat is super easy to install/uninstall when washing. I'm giving it three stars, because at 5 months my baby outgrew this already. She is a bigger baby, 20 pounds, however this item has a 25 pound limit. At about 4.5 months it became very difficult to get her out of it! It's not just the small leg holes, but also the angle at which you have to put them in and take them out. It's a hard 90 degree angle that really will only work well for very small babies. If your baby is approaching 17-20 pounds, I wouldn't recommend this. Read more
I ordered this seat for my 5 month old after reading several articles and blogs from Pediatric Occupational/Physical therapists about developmental issues that can arise from elevated seats (bumbo) where babies legs are not flat on the ground and their trunks are not supported. Even though it’s not recommended by the manufacturer, it definitely feels secure enough to be on top of a table so he can see me when I’m cooking/cleaning in the kitchen or when we are eating. It has a wide base and doesn’t move even with a squirmy baby. That may change once he gets a bit more mobile, but for now, it works great. We also use it as a high chair and feed him in it. It does get messy since the sides of the seat come up pretty high, but the cover snaps off and washes easily, so it’s not a big deal. I like that it folds for more compact storage but I don’t love that it doesn’t fold completely flat. Also, once you assemble it, you won’t be able to take it apart, so that is another thing to consider if you are planning on traveling with it. Read more
Perfect seat for a baby who can lift their head up but can’t sit up on their own! My 2.5 month old loves this! Read more
I love this!!! It's perfect 👌 my daughter can sit around everyone without laying in a chair. She is only 2 months old. It's deep so there is more support for the chest and up! 👍 Read more
I don't know what to say about the complainers up in here. I was very hesitant in purchasing this product because of people saying that it's too hard to get the baby in and out of the seat. I went ahead and still purchased it and i'm very satisfied.THE INSTRUCTIONS CLEARLY STATE THAT YOU NEED TO STAND BEHIND THE SEAT TO PUT YOUR BABY IN THE SEAT AS WELL AS WHEN YOU NEED TO CARRY YOUR BABY OUT!!!!PEOPLE NEED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS MORE.My son is 15 pounds and I had no trouble getting him in and out of the seat. He also seems to love the product so far. Read more
Love this thing! Got it for my 2 month old who has shown interest in sitting up. She still is a bit wobbly so I just wedge a stuffed animal in with her and her head can rest on that if it gets tired! Super easy instructions to assemble. Read more
Started using it when my baby was 3.5 months old..she loves it!!!Wish I would have bought it earlier! We feed her in this, she sits with us when we are all eating, if there is no one to hold her during cooking time, we put her in this and set it up in front of the kitchen entrance and give her toys and she stays occupied!Super easy to wash in case of poop accidents(which have happened ALOT) Read more
My son isn't a huge fan of this seat... he is 4 months and BUSY and ACTIVE and rathers be on his own than held. We thought it was a perfect item! We wish it was... comfier... the inner ring is so HARD and we worry about his nose when he is being wild. He also shows zero interest for the toys dangling ;)Edit: just reading over other comments with moms raving about this! I definitely found 50 bucks seriously overpriced for this and my son maybe sat in it 6 times before it started collecting dust.Very MEH Read more
