This has exceeded my expectations in every way. I purchased it for my 6 month old granddaughter and she is totally enamored with her clacking fishies! She spends time every day carefully picking up the different fish and rubbing them together to make different clacking sounds. She purposely selects one of the hollow ones to use as a “tool” to rub against the other fish’s fins and make various sounds. Once she tried one of her rubber teethers and it was so cool to see her stop and consider how/why that one didn’t work...and she put it down and tried a different textured toy. She’s learning the concept of “in” the bowl and we talk about colors (although that's beyond her right now, of course). The songs are very catchy and clear; it’s terrific that it is stimulated by simply dropping the fish in or pushing the buttons + it has different learning levels. You'll find yourself singing the fishie song and it's not a bad thing. lolUpdate: This is still baby’s favorite toy. I'm amazed at how adaptable it has been. Now, at 11 months old, she has fun throwing the fishies and crawling after them....then tossing them into their bowl.They're very durable; we've never worried about them cracking. Awesome purchase! This is put in and out toy only. Do not expect this toy to teach shapes, colors, or count with your LO. There is nothing educational about this. There is no interactive learning with shapes, colors, or counting. I thought it would count as shapes were placed inside the bowl. They do not. And the "underwater rainbow"song it sings is annoying because it is pointless.Nothing to do with the creatures in this set at all. None of the songs coordinate with your child's interactions with this toy. That said. The animals are cute. It is great as a put in and out game. Not quite as advertised. Misleading. Read more

I was sceptical because I couldn't see how any kid would like this. I am glad I trusted the reviews. Our son loves this bowl. There is not much to it. It's a bowl with some buttons and hard plastic fishies inside. However, our one year old loves it. He is 18 months now and is still dragging it with him everywhere he goes. It has gotten a lot of abuse; it is thrown around, stepped in, had juice poored over it etc. It still works and looks like new. Great toy!! Read more

"Red red, orange orange, yellow, green, blue, purple purple purple purple purple, rainbow light show!"This toy plays music when you push one of its three buttons, and the music can also be activated by three fishbowl being moved or jostled. It sings the ABC's, names colors while the corresponding lights flash in the castle, and it does mention some shapes and numbers. The songs and phrases are all very catchy.The crab and starfish are hollow and less fun to hold than the 3 fish. The bowl whole thing is actually not too heavy, my 5 month old was able to pick the whole thing up... and throw it from his high chair- and it survived the fall! Read more

My 9 month old baby likes this toy but doesn’t love it. It sings songs and flashes rainbow colors that is activated by rocking it. Putting the fish in and out of the toy does nothing unless you rock the bowl. I thought the toy would say the color of the fish as he puts them in but it’s not that sophisticated. Our 6 month old LOVES this toy. Within a few days of playing with it she was able to get all of the critters out of the bowl and sometimes even puts them back. :) I'm not a huge fan of singing/light-up toys, but our daughter just loves this one so much. The songs are actually very cute and there are 2 volume settings. It's a great toy for a baby learning to sit as it give them motivation to stay upright to put the fish in and out of the bowl. Overall, very happy and would highly recommend this toy for babies to work on their small motor skills.The plastic sea critters are easy to clean and hold up well with a soaking in a dilute bleach bath, just make sure to let the fish dry out as they have small holes in the bottom, specifically for the purpose of drying. I got this for young child with developmental delay. She likes very few toys but will giggle at this and stick her face up to the bowl to listen and look at lights. It activates with a little bump etc and will shut off after several minutes of inactivity and need a button pressed again to be touch/wobble sensitive. Everyone in my house gets the silly song stuck in their head (plays a few but there’s one in particular you will be singing) but we can’t complain, totally worth seeing your baby giggle. Best part is there’s a functional drain hole in this fish bowl so when it’s covered in boogers and slobber I easily rinse it in sink. Read more

This has been our son’s favorite toy for about a year. He’s almost 2 now, and he’s moved on from putting the fishies in and out, and now he loves trying to put everything he can find in his fishbowl and shaking it around. Every time he gets a new toy, his first thought is “I wonder if this will fit in the fishbowl.” In addition to the tactile play, he also loves the music. And the songs are surprisingly catchy. I think I’ll hear them in my dreams for the rest of my life... (Red, red, orange, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, purple, purple, purple in a rainbow, light show, bright shiny colors in rainbow, sparkle like a rainbow, rainbow, underwater rainbow!) My 9 month old daughter loves this toy! It has already seen many hours of play. The little fish, crab and star fish are the perfect size for little hands. She loves taking them out of the bowl and putting them back in again. The bowl wobbles which adds fun to putting them in and taking out. I think my daughter enjoys the noise the fish make when they clank together as she fishes each one out of the bowl. Ordered this for a Xmas gift. Delivered before delivery date which was nice. However the box looked like it had been run over, was falling apart and had tape holding it together. The toy was also turned on (to the loudest setting) and it would not stop making noise and music. My toddler was very curious so I had to remove the toy from the packaging in order to shut it off.
