Firstly, many turmeric suppliers which supply various supplement companies are based in India or China. They use something called dichloroethane to clean the turmeric. This has been shown to be carcinogenic. I approached various companies and suppliers and quizzed them about this. Some didn’t reply, others that did were either evasive or used extremely ambiguous statements like ‘not used in their extraction’ where I asked for use ANYWHERE in their process. They used their words very carefully. The ones that admitted they used this chemical had residues that were LOGARITHMIC compared to the safe ppm of water as a comparison. These are companies used by a lot of people.This company uses an organic product where dichloroethane isn’t used. They were very transparent and replied quickly and not ambiguously.Curcumin, which is extracted from turmeric, is supplemented in LARGE doses by a lot of people. A single dose is well over the safe limit what I personally would regard as safe.If you take this supplement I suggest you research this by approaching these companies and asking them about dichloroethane use in their processes.As far as I can tell, this company is an excellent source of Curcumin. The color is bright orange, the smell is earthy, and a glass of water remains clear after pouring some powder in and letting it fall to the bottom of the glass.These are all indications of good quality curcumin.I personally notice curcumin to be most effective when taking 500mg of powder with 10mg of black pepper extract, two times per day. Love this extremely fine powder; however, it did not have the same impact as my typical golden milk recipe (with turmeric/black pepper). To address, I now use 1/2tsp of curcumin and 1/2tsp of turmeric. At the minimum, I am confident I have increased the amount of curcumin in my beverage. For this I am grateful! Read more
Curcumin is fat soluble… The fact that this dissolves completely in water is very disturbing and so I am returning thishumorously, with some other products people complain that the curcumin doesn’t dissolve, or clumps up on their tongue when they put it in their mouth… this is what fat soluble things are supposed to dook let me go find the bad reviews for the better product 😂very hard, there’s SO much bogus/diluted stuff on Amazon Read more
