Oh my, what a great tool in the fight against stiffness in body caused by lumps of muscles. You know those areas like on back of legs where when you run your fingers over it feels like gravel. Well, I originally got the idea to get one for myself after my Physical Therapist used one on me for tightness I had on my butt and legs from not being as active as I used to be. I’m not going to lie, it HURTS SO GOOD literally because these are muscles that have clumped together and weren’t used to moving.Just be careful when using the tool so you don’t make things worse. I knew how to use from watching my PT doing it on me. I also discovered you can just use the tool on top of your clothes, no need to use a lubricant like you normally would. Have this a good test run on different body surfaces. It gets the job done if you're needs are for at home self-care.I worked in Physical Therapy and the therapists would use Graston/ Guasha for fascia work. This tool does the trick if you're taking care of small aches and know what your are doing. It's double beveled so you can go in all directions with ease. The pointed end allows you to get into knooks and crannies like your interosia of the foot. It's also nice that the tool has a concave and convex edge giving you lots of ways to use it.It's a bit small to grip for large lubricated hands but still manageable. The finger grooves definitely help. Although inside edges where you hold can be a bit rough, still not a deal breaker for me. You can't beat this price, it comes with a cover for safe storage. I recently had plantar fascitis surgery and repair to a tendon. I was to massage the areas to keep from getting scar tissue. Well there is only so much a hand can do. This is awesome. I did it for several nights before going to bed and it was great. I could get up and walk in the morning without pain. The weather is changing and I've been walking more so im using it again. I love this thing. It was tricky at first to figure out the different ways to hold it, but after looking it up problem solved. There are so many ways you can hold it and angel it to get in the small spots for a deep pressure. I have performed myofascial scraping work for more than 10 years in my practice, using a variety of tools including the Graston, Myodac, and 3 other complete sets. This tool style is easy to use and along with 2 others, really accomplishes all I need from a smaller, more portable tool set. My massage therapist told me about this, and I had my doubts. But I use this anywhere I may have scar tissue, and I find it to be very effective. I also use it for sore spots after work outs. I use this for areas that ache, forearms, upper traps, front of shins, neck, delts etc. Can apply aloe Vera or a different lubricant & scrape to help alleviate discomfort - bruising goes away in 2-4 days depending on how aggresssive I am.
