I have been looking for a good sized portable mirror that would fit well in my make up case, which is about the size of a small computer bag. This mirror folds up to have a thin profile, which made it easy to slip in my case without taking up too much room. When I ordered this, I thought it was just going to be a plain collapsible mirror. Upon receipt, however, both the packaging and the embossed patent leather framing and stitching said otherwise. I have a bad back, so I need to sit when doing my hair. At my desk, I require a certain angle that the lighted mirror I've had for years did not accommodate. At this time, I have not used the mirror. I intend to use it at home when I am able to do that. I believe the mirror is made sturdy enough to withstand private traveling in a car and carry-on bag on a plane. This mirror can be used more easily in many more places than traditional makeup mirrors on a stand. I really like the fact it is a regular (not magnified) mirror and feel it is a good purchase.
