Worth every penny!!!! Way more expensive than other gates but I have 71" opening and wanted a pressure mount gate - no drilling, mollys or screws. Couldnt find one anywhere to fit that wide of an opening w pressure mount until this one. Fabulous - easy to put together and strong enough to hold up when dog jumps on it!!! I used the Fairy Baby rubber cups they sell so no damage to wall and those worked excellent as well. White neutral color. One hand operation fine - just dont tighten the top mounts all the way or cant open gate. So very satisfied! Highly recommend if you want pressure mount easy installation for an opening up to 72"!!! Must read the beginning of the instructions before installing. It's important that you do not cut the tie that holds the door to the gate before installing. I made the mistake of cutting the door tie when I removed it from the box and had to retie it with a strong box string to mimmick the plastic tie. You can't install the gate otherwise. Once installed I had difficulty opening the door to the gate thinking the gate was defective but again, it's a 2-step maneuver to open the gate. I bought the gate to keep my dog inside a room but my 60 lb. dog managed to break through by pushing the bottom of the gate outwards leaving the top part of the gate intact. We were really happy with the gate (and the quality) after it was easily assembled. However, not really reading the directions, I misplaced some parts that I should have used. I contacted Rainbow Trade Co. and they immediately offered to mail me the parts. I offered to pay since it was my fault, but they sent the parts free is charge. They said that it might take awhile due to the COVID pandemic but it arrived promptly. In addition to a great product, I got great customer service too...a double win! Read more

2021 Update...This gate is still hanging in there...pun!Yes, it's getting a tad rusty on bottom, finish started flaking off. Gonna sand it and repaint, hopefully it'll withstand another 3yrs. Still haven't found another 22" gate. Always looking, but can only say "this gate" has so far withstood my fuzzbutts.Purchase date 2018...First off, gate is very nice, and well made but....only gave it 2*'s in beginning because....(will be changing)I specifically spent hours searching for the correct size and reading reviews because we live in RV. Door size width is small to our Bunkhouse. I found it, or so I thought.Secondly, I wanted to check with others to see if they had an issue with latch not connecting or any difficulties in fitting in frame? Thats when I discovered the invoice saying Gate was 24", NO WAY!, did I order a 24" gate. And Size 22" Gate? Now no longer exists as choice in Sale post.Guess company thought 2" wouldn't matter, and now I guess it really didn't. Gate's crammed in frame and at first I couldn't get it to come together at top so it would latch. No room for adjusters to move anywhere. I couldn't believe how tight it was, worried me."Okay so...." (Finally)Hubby to the rescue, we pulled Gate away at top and spun the adjusters until gate latched then fit it back into opening. Leaving ziptie in place was NOT an option. It is very very snug but that 24" Gate is now 22". The adjusters are cranked down as far as possible so whether it's 24" or 22" doesn't matter because said Gate is now inside 22" door frame.Order, and box says 24", but the truth is right in front of me.Now as long as my "ever so smart" dogs dont figure out how to open it, (and they have in past), we're in business!It's working great but still only giving it 4*'s. Edit: door auto close stopped working after 1-2 months. Reached out to seller and they sent a new door right away ! The pieces that stick to the wall did take the paint off but I don’t think that is the product, just what happens with these things.Original -We have an open floor plan & were struggling w/ containing our puppy and keeping an eye on her- luckily we have a doorway between the kitchen and a sunroom that is 68" wide and this gate worked perfectly! It's easy to assemble, you can mount it even with a baseboard b/c the top mounts & bottom don't have to be the same width, and it feels pretty sturdy- our dog will only get to about 25 lbs but I don't think she'd be able to topple it if we keep it in place when she is bigger- maybe a big dog could. The door is great- love how it swings both ways and also self closes, but if you want to have it stay open, you just open it all the way and it stays there. Great product!!!!! Read more

The title says it all. The bigger male dog in particular has to be told to get off of it, but so far it has taken all the pounding. I also like the safety latch up top, my dogs are smart, and I was afraid they were going to figure out how to use it at first but it’s easy and complicated secure enough at once. My only two warnings are it’s almost criminal that they did not include this product: Vmaisi Baby Gate Wall Cup Protector. I saw it advertised on the Amazon webpage as a ‘must buy’ attachment and that is no joke. This keeps it much sturdier and protects the wall.. I honestly don’t know if this would take the pounding from the dogs if I didn’t have these attached on the ends which is why I lower it to 4 stars rating. The other caution I would have is just make sure you read the quick steps before starting (unlike me!) because you’re not supposed to cut the final door zip tie until the very end and it makes it much easier to install but it still went off well. As other reviewers have mentioned, follow the instructions AND DO NOT CUT THE PLASTIC ZIP-TIE UNTIL THE END.The swinging part of the gate is fairly narrow. The gate functions smoothly and closes/latches by itself. I was very happy with this gate at first, but the fixed horizontal bar at the bottom is a trip hazard, so I eventually returned it. Love how easy this gate was to install and how easy it is to open and close. My busy 2 year old grand daughter still cannot open it, so that is a huge plus. The only down fall to it is it does not have the "kick plate" that the longer gate has so every once in a while as someone walks through it the gate loosens and then has to be reset. It does not come away from the wall though, it just slips a bit. Thus the 4 star rather than the 5. Read more
