I actually have one of these that I bought years ago, and I was looking for a companion one so I could set up two weeks of pills at a time (I take meds twice a day so one box only holds a week). This is the exact same item and works just the same, I just wish it was the same color scheme as the older one.I'm kinda clumsy and we have pets, so the easy-to-use lock feature is perfect, and it would be awesome for someone with curious children. You have to hold the lock button while opening the compartment -- hard for tiny hands but easy enough for the rest of us.The compartments are very roomy; my evening regimen includes five very large pills and several smaller ones, and the compartments close easily. This two week pill organizer is wonderful. Went on two seperate vacations and only needed to fill this daily pill organizer once. It went into an airline compartment, onto a,ship, and then into a car for a 700 mile trip. All my pills stayed in place until I was ready to take them. I could no longer find these in the local pharmacy where I had purchased two others. Fortunately, it was the correct model. The 2XL size is good for patients who are moderately medicated. I use one row of pockets for AM and one for PM, so each container serves my needs for one week--not two.I've used these on trips for at least two years now, having tired of the tendency for non-locking pill organizers to spill their contents while in transit--especially when handled by TSA personnel. They work, and they last well for a plastic product. Be careful to hold the unit firmly while closing the lids. If you don't, it will abruptly pivot over and throw pills all over the place.Caution: if you have painful, arthritic hands, or weak fingers, think twice before choosing this model--there is a good chance the lock, which requires pressing a spring-loaded release button while opening a cell, would require more pressure than you're comfortable applying, and it requires good coordination with both hands. This is a great product for several reasons. The pill compartments are a good size and can easily hold an entire day's worth of pills (several prescription pills as well as larger pills like vitamins, fiber caplets and fish oil capsules). The lids lock securely so that they don't open and scatter your pills through your purse, luggage or whatever. The locks are also secure enough that a small child (my curious granddaughter) cannot manipulate the mechanism and open them. I still keep the pills up high where she can't reach them but if the pill box somehow was within her reach I am confident she could not open it. Even though they stay securely locked, they are not hard for an adult to open. There is a locking bar through the length of the pill box and you just firmly push in the end tab of the locking bar and hold it in while you lift up the lid you wish to open. This pill box gives me peace of mind when my granddaughter is around and when I travel. The product arrived on time and in perfect condition. I love the locking lids so pills do not open and dump pills in carry on or purse. I like keeping med and vitamins for each day especially when traveling.
