The box weighed 87 pounds and was almost a yard square. I had a helluva time getting it through the front door. Then, the only way to get the chair out of the box was to destroy the box. The chair itself was a cream color, the fabric a bit like burlap. The back was a seperate piece that simply slid into two brackets and, voila, the chair was assembled. I had to muscle the chair into place, but it looked very nice. Then I noticed that the back was not fully upright; it could be pushed into position but immediately flopped back. Okay, I sat in the chair and immediately realized that I had made a big mistake--the back was as flat as a slab and offered little support. I tried reclining the back, but as soon as I relaxed, the back slowly started inching up; I had to keep pressing it back down. Then I tried the handle on the side to raise the footrest. It popped right up, and I sat for awhile. When I tried to press the footrest down with my heel, I couldn't get it to stay down; I had to get up, face the chair and push HARD with my foot to get the catch to engage.When I made arrangements to return the chair, finding a suitable box was not easy. I finally got one from UPS for $30. Getting the chair wrapped and into the box without help was a real challenge.Kudos to Amazon for making the return process easy and covering the shipping. The listing for this chair in color "shell" clearly advertises a power reclining feature as well as a USB port, neither which are true. The chair has a manual pull lever to recline it and no USB port. I contacted Amazon to report the issue several days ago yet the ad has not changed. Amazon did provide a credit to us for this issue but still this is false advertising. Otherwise the chair is economic and reasonably comfortable. Read more

I'm 5'9 and this chair is a great size for me. Can't wait to share it with baby girl. Only complaint is that it's noisy and quite a feat to put down the foot stool part. Won't be using that when I am rocking her to sleep as I don't think I'll be able to put it down without making tons of noise. Other than that it's a steal for the quality and size! Read more

I was truly apprehensive to purchase a recliner from Amazon as I prefer to get my furniture from a store where I can check it out in person first, but I could not beat the price! My husband easily had it put together in seconds and he has not been able to get me out of it since. It's a decent chair for the price. It is starting to make squeaks with every rock, which sucks during the middle of the night. The recline is difficult to put back into the chair, you need a lot of force and holding a baby makes that difficult.. Read more
