My son was a colicky baby with bad gas and reflux (which caused him to have a diaper rash for his first two months). I decided I wanted to help my daughter by getting her on a probiotic right away. My husband and I liked the research behind Evivo and the science made sense to us (regarding the gut microbiome) so we ordered it. I didn’t start my daughter on it until she was about 2 weeks old, and although she wasn’t as unhappy as my son, she did have some visible gas pains. Since being on Evivo she no longer has them, she has never had a diaper rash and I swear she sleeps better at night (she started sleeping for longer stretches right away after taking the probiotic). We have also noticed that if we forget to give it to her, she appears to be fussier the next day. So although she didn’t have any “colick” that we wanted to treat, I do think it’s been beneficial for her to take Evivo. The only warning I would give is that her poops changed from daily poops to every few days. And they are huge blowouts like what my son had at 3-4 months until he stared solids. When I read about this, apparently the bacteria in Evivo makes the gut more mature, like that of a 3 month old. So that made sense. My breastfed baby was having a lot of bad gas pains that were making him colicky during the day and waking him up at night and he had consistently green poops until we started Evivo. We had tried gripe water, mylicon, and cutting dairy out of my diet but nothing worked. After 2 days of Evivo we noticed a big change - he no longer has gas pains and he has one massive mustard yellow poop per day.Things to know:- The powder doesn’t easily dissolve and it smells and tastes horrible but I have found that if I use 8-10ml of fresh breast milk (vs the 3-5ml they recommend) it is much easier to dissolve and the flavor is less intense so my baby takes it down easier.- My baby’s poop smells like the probiotic which doesn’t have a pleasant odor but he’s happy and it’s only one poop per day so it doesn’t matter.- My baby went from pooping nearly every feeding to just once per day.- The night after the first dose of Evivo my baby seemed to have even more gas pain than normal but the next night he had the best sleep of his life and has had consistently good nights ever since. It smells funny and my LO didn’t love the taste but ate it. We mixed it with more milk then recommended because it doesn’t dissolve. I put it in with like 10-15 mL and put it in a bottle to mix and feed. It worked well. Only used it for a month and it seems to have helped immensely. My LO used to cry every time he was working on a BM because it hurt him so much. After a week or two of this he was able to have ‘secret poos’ which meant they weren’t hurting anymore. My granddaughter had constipation even though she was breast fed. She was a c section baby. We tried other probiotics but this is the only one that worked. Put it in her bottle with breast milk. Don’t need the kit though. Just buy the probiotic. Read more

Before taking Evivo my son was struggling as a newborn with serious gut health issues. I had been on tons on antibiotics both before and after my c-section, and his belly was hurting him from day 1. Evivo worked wonders for him. He went from being a colicky little baby to a healthy and happy boy. He’s only 4-months old but I saw the change within the first two to three weeks of him using this. I breastfeed him so in order to administer I just express a little milk into the container provided, empty the packet, mix it up and then feed it to him using the FridaMom medicine administering pacifier. I hate tried not breast milk and formula and this powder is impossible to mix. It staying in the bottom of the mixing bowl after 5 minutes of stirring and then when you finally get it into the plunger it all coagulates and you end up with it leftovers vet in the syringe after all the milk of formula has been used. They powder does not dissolve well at all. Additionally, it smells terrible once it comes in contact with breast milk or formula. My child spits it out and then will chug the bottle that they were drinking readily before or after. It leads me to think not only does it smell awful, but it must taste just as bad. I would say my child ends up with maybe a quarter of the packet. Read more
