Overall, I enjoy the scent and the way it cleans, however... the pump on the bottle utterly sucks. At the expense of revealing my age, my hair has no pigment left - none! Over a year ago I tried a new shampoo. It was green. After a while, my hair started to turn green too - not the kind of pigment I wanted. But since this was gradual, I didn't notice it at first and attributed what I saw to the lighting in the bathroom. Then my barber asked me why my hair was turning green. This is when I switched to Every Man Jack - and never tried anything else again. Now my hair is back to the color it should be - at my age anyway. Oh yeah - and this shampoo cleans well and smells good too, and a little of it goes a long way. The 2 in 1 shampoo itself is pretty good. Nice scent, leaves my hair clean and manageable, so no problems there. The issue is that whoever sourced the pump bottle it comes in failed to account for the viscosity of the product. This is a thick shampoo and the bottle is intended for watery products. This means that whenever you push the pump down, the first pump is pretty good, then subsequent pumps only drip out tiny amounts of product. I've been using Every Man Jack shampoos for years now and they decided to randomly switch to a pump bottle instead. Not only is it a slightly smaller bottle (12oz per bottle vs the old packaging being 13.5oz) at the same price, the pumps don't work right and are very prone to leaking during shipping. It's just a silly change for no benefit and I hope EMJ switches back to their traditional bottles without the pumps.Regarding the Shampoo + Conditioner in a Fresh Sea Salt Scent; There is no real scent. It has a faint smell of soap when you first dispense it but it quickly vanishes. It also takes 2 rinses to make my hair feel clean, and I've got a short buzz cut. Typically shampoo + conditioners are great with my short hair but this definitely misses the mark by a long shot. I have only tried the sea salt scent since they randomly made the bad switch to pump bottles as a side note.So for me, I have to use more shampoo and now I get less product but it's the same price? Product smells good. Product is not the size that is shown on Amazon. The listing shows a larger bottle and when I purchased, did not give the oz weight in the listing. (Now it does..) First, I will say that this shampoo works up into a great lather. It feels rich and leaves my hair feeling clean and strong. It feels premium when I'm washing my hair.Having said that, the scent is something that I was really looking forward to. Perhaps it's my own fault because when I read menthol I was thinking mint. They are not really the same thing though, obviously. This smells more like a harsh floor cleaner than a refreshing clean scent. I have continued to use it because it's expensive and I do feel it's doing a good job. I won't purchase it again, however, and I don't recommend it because I really don't like the smell. Read more

I love Every Man Jack products—the aroma and the way they work. And the only negative thing about this particular offering are the flimsy pumps. I feel like I’m going to break it every time I pump it. And it’s slow to come back up. My very first experience with these products was very favorable, as both the shampoo/conditioner bottle as well as the body wash bottle came in 33.8-oz pump bottles—perfect!! But I can’t find that size in the shampoo/conditioner bottle any longer. I do not like this size bottle, nor the shape of it, which makes it less stable while sitting on my shower ledge. Product itself: cleans well and leaves my hair feeling great. Scent is poor - it smells almost like bleach moreso than Sandalwood. Maybe this batch was off. Who knows. My wife says it smells great but not quite like sandalwood, so I'll trust her opinion and keep using it because she says she doesn't mind. The smell is weak so it doesn't bother me.Packaging: this was the deal breaker. I will never order this product again as the "pump" hardly works. The product isnt too thick so I don't know why it takes MINUTES for the pump to reach the top again. I dumped this stuff into the old shampoo bottle to actually use it. Read more
