I usually never write a review but this car seat protected my son in a bad car accident. He had no injuries. We were at a dead stop when someone plowed into the back of us going at least 50 mph. My trunk was basically in the back seat. He was a very lucky little boy and I’m one thankful mother. We needed to get another car seat to go home from the hospital. We got the exact same one. I’ve been using this seat for about 5 months now. It’s bulkier & heavier than the one my other child uses, but it has its perks. The seat seems to be comfortable for my son, the straps adjust up & down very easily, & it’s easy to install/remove.However, I recently learned that you cannot completely remove the straps for cleaning. After my son got while in the seat, I removed the padding & did the best I could to wipe everything down. But without being able to get underneath the plastic, it’s impossible to properly clean in all the crevasses. Now there’s vomit confined to areas I cannot reach, even with a toothbrush. I can’t imagine how it will smell as time goes on.... Read more

Honestly the ONLY thing I like about this car seat are the pads in the seat area. Everything else was not good-not good at all. Whoever designed this either A) hates mothers or B) has never had a baby or been around a baby. The installation is terrible. When you receive the car seat the latch system is in the wrong hole so you have to feed the strap to the correct one. The latch straps were also too short connect to both latches. Because of the way seats are at an incline, even with the car seat is reclined back all the way my babies head is still in her lap. The solution??? Put a freaking towel in between the seat and the car seat. I'd LOVE to see the safety reviews on that one! The crank system to tighten the belt strap is ridiculous. not only is it time consuming but when the car seat is installed there is no room to be able to fit your hand on the crank to turn it. I'm sure I can think of all the other things that were WRONG with this car seat but frankly I don;t have enough time in the day. Spend the extra $50 and get you a car sea that is worth a darn. If you plan on using this for rear facing, make sure you have pretty flat rear seats. The adjustable seat does not have enough adjustment to make the seat level in an 2012 traverse nor a 2003 murano. Also fairly difficult to route belt through the seat. Don't get me wrong it seems to be a good car seat, but not great adjustment for rear facing. Read more

This is my second Evenflo brand seat I've purchased. I loved my first one, but we started using it when my eldest was ready for forward facing. I never used it rear facing. I did not enjoy installing either one in our vehicles rear facing - I cursed, a lot. With it being rear facing the strap to connect to the car was extremely difficult because it there isn't enough slack to make it easier and then adjust. We have a newer SUV and sedan. Does take up quite a bit of room and the front seat has to up further in both vehicles, but that seems pretty standard with most car seats. I might be failing as a parent, but I don't redo the straps every time but when first fit, the tightening mechanism was a pain to do with it being scrunched in the seat (same with the other seat). I think a lot of the pains of this seat will be better dealt with once it's facing forward, but I've got some time to wait. I still rate highly because it seams like a safe seat and all my pains are nothing compared to the safety of my baby. And my complaints are based on rear facing, but should be relieved once forward facing. Read more

among the numerous issues i've had during the 10 months i had it (not tightening properly, bulky, padding fell apart, does not properly recline, shakes) it broke apart and exposed that this is made from styrofoam .. very flimsy, would not recommend ... it was over 30 days since purchase but the manufacturer and company would not offer me an exchange, refund or take the item back.do yourselves a favor and by from a local store (walmart, target, baby store, etc) at least the manufacturers will help you if you have any issues with your car seats. I bought my second stage off amazon for the convenience but sacrificed a lot because i didn't walk into a store to make the purchase. Read more

This is so cute and comfy for our little one! It is quite bulky in my little car, but not terrible. My one complaint is that the whole for the seatbelts to go through is so tiny! I have little hands and it is a struggle to feed it through to the other side! I have found that you can feed it through halfway and then grab it in the middle and finish through the other side. Other than that we love it! Read more

I don't like how lightweight and cheaply made this car seat is. It's also a hassle to install. You have to feed the seat belt under the seat cover and it's really hard to do because there's no easy way to assist it through to the other side. The anchor belts were too confusing to even get started on. However, once installed, it's easy to operate with a crank-tightening system and it's more comfortable than an infant car seat. Read more
