Our oldest (4years old) has two of the Symphony Convertible Car seats (one for each of our vehicles) that he's had since he was an infant. We LOVE them. They aren't the easiest to install or take out but they are the best and I wish they would've came with a cup holder (the newer version does now). Evenflo goes above and beyond in their testing and it's made right here in the US. They are the best of the best without costing you a fortune. So there was no question as to which brand of car seat we'd get our new little one. Our oldest is still using his convertible car seats and I really wanted to buy the baby a car seat that would grow entirely with him until he was out of car seats/boosters. So we decided to go with the All-in-one Symphony Elite and they improved everything that was missing from the Older convertible Symphony. It has two cup holders and with the sure latch system it's a breeze to install. The sure latch system is how all latch systems should be. I read a few reviews on here before I bought it that said something along the lines of that the the car seat still moved more than it should. I'm just curious if this people took the time to read the manual. I placed a rolled towel underneath the seat to make it level (that's a common thing for a lot of different brands of car seats) and then I placed my entire weight on it. It's very secure. I bought this one to go in my husband's truck and was afraid it wouldn't fit in my 2005 Kia Sportage. It is rather large. Well we left town for a few days and I ended up putting it my car for the road trip. It fit like perfectly. There was more than enough room that a person could still sit in the front passenger seat with it all the way back. So I just bought one for my car. I'm brand loyal to Evenflo and recommend it to everyone. Read more

I usually don't write reviews because I prefer expert opinion to peer experiences when it comes to making purchases. But this experience is worth sharing. This summer I hit an abandoned vehicle while taking our 1 1/2 year old daughter to daycare. We went from 55 mph to upside down on a bridge in a matter of feet. We totaled a heavy duty SUV, and she was scared, but completely unscathed. This car seat did what it supposed to when it we needed it. As a guy, I can't tell you how easy it is to clean, or what its "features" are. All I know is that when we needed it to hold our daughter safely, it did. We ordered another one as soon as we replaced the totaled vehicle. If you like the way this product looks, order with confidence. Make sure it's at the right angle, crank it down tight, and keep your eyes on the road! Read more

We have had two of these carseats and have used them as our primary carseats for close to a year now. I have appreciated their size, we don't need to fit three across and this is likely one of the widest carseats out there. My son likes to cross his legs when sitting in his carseat. I also like the latch connector and the ease of tightening. But that is about all I can come up with for positives for this.As other reviewers have mentioned, yes, in forward facing the angle of this carseat causes some pretty bad head hanging. My son gets croup every single time he gets sick, but its always at night, unless we are driving somewhere and he is in this carseat. On a 3 hour drive, when he had a normal cold, we almost had to pull over to take him straight to a hospital because his breathing deteriorated so badly while napping in this seat. I have to admit, this is not a common problem. Most kids do not have a trachea that is so prone to issues with every single common cold, but obviously this is a huge issue for us.I do not like the cupholders with the elastic band enclosing one side. They both try to put their toys or snacks in there and they just fall out all over the seats and then I have two upset kids wanting me to stop the car to get their toys.A huge complaint is the headrests. Both my kids use the seats without the additional padding since they are older. The headrests in this carseat seem extremely flimsy. I don't even know how to properly explain this, but the feel is that they are hardly attached. It has a huge range of motion and gives me no reassurance that it would offer any kind of protection in an accident other than being a barrier between my childs head and the window.Another issue is the way my kids, and I assume all other kids get into the carseats. When they turn around sit down in the carseat they pull down the carseat straps each and every time. I have to pull them forward to get their body weight off of the straps and then pull the straps back up into position every single time. EVERY SINGLE TIME.The chest clip is much to easy to move up and down and my kids take the liberty to move it all the way down to their belly button. I have tried having conversations with them, that is not okay, that could injure them. But they are kids, 5 years old and 3 years old, and its just not getting through to them yet. Finally, the strap to tighten and loosen. I am noticing with continued use that it is fraying on the edges. It is not as bad as the Maxi Cosi Pria's that we owned, which Maxi Cosi had to replace twice and we have since given up on them. But here I am a year later, once again looking to buy new carseats for both my car and my husbands truck.I am now back on amazon, reading reviews and will be buying new carseats within the next month. We have a couple longer car rides coming up and I am not sure of the safety, or comfort of these seats any longer. I am looking at the new Chicco Myfit as a replacement option. Read more

I bought 2 of these. They have a nice color but... strange cup holders that have elastic band instead of a solid cup holder. What in there world is that supposed to do? It won't hold anything inside from short sippy cups top big kid cups. Also, the way it is built, the head rest moves about when the kids dance around. I even have the top buckle anchored down. Seems like cheap plastic.Plus the shoulder harness has to pull up to be adjusted instead of taking it apart and readjusting the belts at a higher spot or clicking the headrest up higher (like graco 4ever, which I do recommend- we have bought 3 - 2 for our main vehicle and 1 for grandma's car) .
