I've owned all the entertainers out there, all the way back to the original Exersaucer so my review may be a lot of comparisons.I love this new Exersaucer, I'm so happy they brought back a more basic option. The first 5-6 years of Exersaucer was great, plain up to a few toys. After that exersaucers became overwhelming, noisy, overstimulating. That was one of the reasons I switched to the Jumperoo when it first came out, less toys. I also thought the jumperoos folding legs would make it more compact for travel as well but it didn't, this Exersaucer (without a bunch of tall and bulky toys like previous models) collapses as small, if not smaller. All of my kids that have had Exersaucers instead of entertainment centers, jumperoos, etc have also really enjoyed the Exersaucer (for non intended) when they started crawling. They'd climb in the bottom and rock and when they were pulling up the exersaucer was the perfect height and can be stabilized with the legs. This Exersaucer comes with 3 removable, interchangeable clip on toys (that on previous models I've even stuck in the dishwasher to clean) that could easily be left off or switched off to keep the toy even less stimulating and ever new. It also comes with a toy bar that has 3 monkeys that can be pushed back and forth like the bead maze that is loved by so many babies and toddlers alike. This is even easily removable. Plus a spinner with beads to make a soft gentle, non electronic noise. And lastly a mirror so baby can admire themselves, a huge baby activity (even if they don't realize it's them).I love the new easier to remove seat to making throwing it in the washing machine that much faster. There's even a small "tray" area. The biggest thing that draws me back to the Exersaucer is that it fits small 4 month olds on the lowest setting. The Jumperoo or any walker we've tried have been too tall and required a pillow (not recommended by the manufacturer) under their feet. The only reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is that I wish the mirror were bigger, it's almost useless with its small size and since babies love mirrors I feel like it is a great idea but not useful at this size. And because I feel like the 3 stabilizer legs to keep it from rocking are less stable than they used to be (I think it used to have 4 maybe?), it doesn't rock but does lean slightly as baby leans. It's fine for stable babies but if baby is just big enough to try it out their upper body control may not be good enough for that bit of tilt. We're using it for a just turning 4 month old and she's fine with it.As I read through other reviews before buying I noticed several poor reviews were that it didn't have lights or sounds so I'll disclaim that your mileage may vary based on what you are looking for. I prefer not having lights and sounds, babies can be easily overstimulated. Read more
There are several sharp plastic edges inside of the seat ring which scratched our little one's leg in two places. We are not happy about that at all.Poor attention to the details. Read more
Parents here is what you need to know: if you're in a pinch for a less spendy bouncer, this has all the basics. The cons however, are that the seat is highly uncomfortable as it is made of plastic and the only thing separating the plastic and the baby's bum is a thin fabric over the seat. (I resolved this issue by padding the seat myself with extra blankets.) The monkey toy the picture features must be removed upon receiving bouncer because it WILL hit your baby's head if they are capable of swiveling in the seat, it is the worst design. It doesn't come with all possible toys, so there will be empty slots on the play dash. If I could go back in time, I would have paid extra money for a better bouncer. Read more
My daughter loved this thing initially, however there is a sharp little piece of plastic sticking out of the bottom of it where her feet land and it has cut and scratched her foot pretty badly! I will have to take some sand paper to it before I let her use again. Please be aware of this possible issue. Read more
I work in a daycare and we have one other Exersaucer that is old with missing toys, so we needed a new one. I saw the Zoo Friends Exersaucer and bought it for the cheap price. It arrived quickly and was fairly easy to assemble. No tools or batteries needed for this model. It's fantastic in my opinion! The seat cover is made of plastic but has a second layer of cloth under to make it strong. It's held by several clips on the seat and very durable. The entire thing is made up mostly of durable, thick plastic. There were no sharp edges or pieces that could hurt baby. As long as you follow the directions, trust that your baby is safe. The colors are very bright and friendly for baby. Be aware that the toys on this model are simple and are not electronic or need batteries. They do not sing or light up, so go for another model if that's what you want. I, however, love the simple toys. They're fun and entertaining without all the noise. The toys are rattles and teething toys you attach wherever you like on the tray, and you can always move them around, along with the large bar with monkeys. You can remove it if you don't want it.The height adjustments are very helpful. All of our little babies are between 9 and 10 months old, and the second peg works fine for all of them. It also has the red stabilizers on the bottom to keep it still. Babies are able to jump easily with or without the stabilizers and it's a very good entertainer for what you pay for it.I would definitely recommend this. Read more
So I'm writing this review on my first day receiving the product. My baby is in it as we speak. In terms of the price I bought a used one from Amazon so I got it for way cheaper than it normally is. I didn't want to buy one of the many expensive ones I saw. I just didn't think it was necessary for us. But I really wanted and needed something like this. My 3 month old does not like to lie down or sit in his chair and we definitely can't carry him all the time that's for sure. He was a little confused at first but thought now I see him reaching for the toys and he's actually spinning in the seat as well. I have it on the lowest setting. His heels just about touch the base but he'll be reaching in no time. 3 months may be too young for this toy but every baby is different and you have to just go with what is right for your child. Like I said I saw many different models with cuter Toys and prettier colors but this is just fine for me. The chair spins and there's a bounce to it and my baby is standing and happy so mommy is happy. Shipping was waaaaay quicker than I expected. The box was a bit damaged but i knew that before purchasing, the product itself however was just fine Read more
My 5 month old grand-daughter is very uncomfortable in it, as it leans to one side and she can only sit leaning forward in it. She can't sit back in the seat, it makes her lean forward and there's no adjustment for that! We have to place a blanket or cushion at the front so she's not leaning forward and and one at the side to level it out and she can't bounce in it at all...it's too stiff and very noisy when I try to bounce it! After 5 minutes or less, she wants out. The only good things are; it's easy to assemble and you can easily move the toys around or remove them for cleaning. I would have expected a lot more from $100 item! Read more
It’s a really cute exersaucer but the quality just isn’t there. Considering how much I paid for it I’m pretty disappointed. Within a month of having it the toy with batteries broke open. We contacted Evenflo fro a replacement, which they sent but it also came broken. So they sent yet another set and it also came broken. I told them not to bother sending anymore toys as there is obviously something wrong with it and they should maybe consider escalating the issue and doing a recall or a fix of some sort.I usually love evenflo items but this has really put a sour taste for them. This bouncer has great springs and feet you can put down so it is stationary (doesn't wobble), but it tips quite a bit when those aren't down. What I dislike about this, and many other similar bouncers, is the toys seem to be an afterthought. They are not good. And boring. And difficult for a baby to manipulate. The overhead toy bar is weird. The seat area is also really big, so we have to put a rolled up blanket in, so babe doesn't lean too much. Obviously, we don't have to do that as he gets bigger but he's definitely not tiny. Read more
Easy to put together and looks so cute! I wish there was a fourth height setting as she's too tall for it now at 7 months. Even though we only got a short amount of use out of it it was still absolutely worth it.I wish I could have change the stickers in the flip book toy to something printed on or molded into the plastic as my teething baby tried to eat the stickers off every chance she got. I tried to figure out where to buy replacement toys to swap that book out with something else, but haven't had any luck. Read more
My son loves it. The assembly was straightforward although the pictures and the descriptions in the manual were hard to understand with a little common sense we had it assembled in under 5 minutes. It doesn't seem super stable (but does seem very safe) and my son enjoys the fact that it rocks a little. He loves the toys in it too. Now I can have my morning cup of tea in peace 😉 Read more
