I bought the original Ergobaby 360 with insert  Ergobaby 4 Position 360 Bundle Of Joy with Easy Snug Infant Insert, Grey  a few months ago before my second daughter was born. Then I received this Ergobaby Omni 360 to review on Amazon. Here is my comparison of the Omni vs. original 360.As far as I can tell, the Omni is the new version of the 360 carrier. They are built very much the same, with the same fabric (slightly different color). The Omni has a smaller feel than the original 360.When I chose the color for my original 360, I went with the grey color. I decided against black because I was afraid of showing both cat hair and spit up stains. However, the fabric is not stain resistant at all, and after my first wear (when I dropped a tomato slice on it) I found out that I probably would have been happier with the black one.Pros:-Super comfy for wearer. Ergobaby carriers are by far the most comfortable carriers for the person wearing the baby (at least from the ones I’ve tried). EDIT: my daughter is now 6 months old and 20 lbs., and this carrier is just as comfortable as it was when she was 8 lbs. I can wear her for hours without getting tired.-No insert like the original 360. When I bought the original 360, I was surprised that they hadn’t come up with a way to fit smaller babies other than an insert that you had to buy separately. In the Omni, there are 3 positions that you velcro to fit babies of different sizes and NO INSERT. (Yay! I couldn’t stand the insert.)-Buckles at waist instead of velcro. I actually didn’t mind the velcro, but some people felt like the velcro wakes up a sleeping baby. I would just leave the carrier on until I left the room, and then I would undo the velcro. The velcro actually seemed easier to adjust to me, but once you have the buckle adjusted to your size it is easier than the velcro to get on and off.-Built in hood for sun shade (same as original 360)-Storage compartment for keys, phone, etc. It fits my iPhone 6 and keys with room to spare. My original 360 did not have any storage except within the hood storage compartment.-Not as hot as the original 360 with insert in. The original 360 did not breathe as well as the Omni.Cons:-Hard to get on. This is the biggest downside for me. I have pretty good shoulder flexibility, but I struggle with getting the back shoulder buckle snapped. I have found that loosening the straps on the chest area before buckling the back shoulder strap works better than trying to do the chest straps first. I cannot emphasize enough to WATCH THE VIDEOS ON THEIR WEBSITE. I tried putting these carriers on just by reading the manual, and I had a really hard time visualizing what to do. Ergobaby’s website has some good videos that are each a few minutes long that show how to wear/adjust different positions.-Still not ideal for tiny babies. I have a Baby Bjorn that worked a lot better when she was between 7-10 lbs. I felt like in the Ergobaby (both the Omni and original 360) a newborn feels like she will fall out the leg holes. (I will say though that the Bjorn feels too small once the baby hits about 15 lbs., as I found out with my older daughter.)-Baby still prefers being in Bjorn right now, but she is starting to enjoy the “frog” position of the Ergobaby more. (EDIT: once she was old enough to hold her head up well, we switched her to forward-facing which she LOVES. She giggles and coos and happily kicks her feet the whole time she's in there, it's pretty awesome!)-Not great stain resistance in the lighter colors. Oxiclean took out most of my tomato stain, but not all of it.-Still expensive. These are very expensive carriers, and if you don’t use them very often you might be okay with a less expensive one. With an older child, I feel like I am constantly wearing the newborn—otherwise I would get nothing done. So for me, it is well worth the price to have the most comfort. This is a great replacement for the Baby Bjorn I was using, and I definitely prefer the Ergobaby Omni 360 over the Ergobaby original 360 carrier. I will still be using my Osprey Poco Plus carrier for backpacking when she is older, but the Omni will be used for all of our other outings and shorter walks/hikes in the future. Read more

Looks and seems to work great on average-sized people, but not so much on petites. I’m 5’2”, 108# and while this carrier is well-padded and engineered, so doubtless comfortable for baby, the straps are really bulky and neither they nor the waist could be adjusted down enough to my size. So it just never felt secured to my body, with everything loose and constantly shifting. I’ve probably tried almost every carrier out there, and in the end found the Baby Bjorn carriers to fit and work the best for me. Read more

We are both big people. This fits both of us well. Baby girl loves to rock around Costco. My wife can comfortably carry our 18 lb (and growing) baby. I have a bad back so I use it like a back pack instead of the weight on front. Read more

I've now been using the Ergobaby Omni 360 for almost a year (where did my baby go??). Before I bought this, I hummed and hawed for most of my pregnancy trying to decide what was the right carrier for us. I needed something that could work all seasons and be useful for a long time.I have used this almost daily for our morning walk with the dog and it has been perfect! How I use it:When baby boy was newborn, we used front loaded, inward facing. I would strap him on and walk around the neighborhood or house whenever he was fussy. I could even nurse him while doing little things around the house which was great! When he got bigger and was ready to see the world, I would strap him in the front, outward facing and he loved that. After awhile though, that started to cause my hip and back pain because he was getting to big.Now at almost a year, he is always on my back. And, since making the switch, I no longer have back/hip pain. He loves it and chats the whole way, he can peak over my shoulders and see what's going on.Can I put baby on by myself?Yes! I won't lie each new position is awkward but it gets easier. I also watched videos on YouTube. But for all positions that I've used, I've been able to get him in there by myself which is important! Is it big and bulky?Kind of but both baby and I are comfortable and it's easy to use. I haven't tried slings or wraps because those intimidated me. I'm 5'7 and it felt right in my frame.Pros:You can breastfeed with it on.You can put baby on unassistedVariety of ways to wear baby.Comfortable fit for user and baby.Hood to keep baby out of sun.Very adjustable -we live in Maine so baby and me have used this while both wearing snow gear!Cons:Bulky strapsI cannot recommend this carrier enough and is well worth the price! I've tried all Ergos (original, 360, Adapt, and now the Omni 360) and I'm so glad I have because I can now say the Omni 360 is the only one you'll ever need which is such a relief. It's so comfortable and easy to wear. I've worn it for 2+ hours walking around with my 8 month old and I'm 5'4. It also fits my 5'8 husband and 5'10 brother. We are all average weights for our heights. Baby is super comfy facing in or out, or on our backs. I use it in the airport so I don't have to lug the stroller around and it's so convenient and easy. I highly recommend getting a carrier for baby and Ergo is my choice! And if you're going Ergo don't waste time with infant inserts and go directly to the Omni 360. It's pricey but worth it! One and done you won't regret it!Oh, and I also recommend buying a teething pad if your baby will face out cause he/she will certainly drool. ;) Read more

I love love love my carrier. Following a c-section with my son this carrier was the perfect solution. I get comments on it everywhere I go. it's super comfortable for walking the dog. It super supportive and helpful for my "nurses back". Totally worth the investment. Highly recommend, if you found my review helpful please hit the helpful button below Read more

Bought this one when my baby was about 1 month old because it was delivered quicker than the other brand carrier I looked at too. In my opinion it is not suitable for very young and light babies since the material is very stiff and thick and my baby did not like it and usually cried when put in it. The comfort was rather poor as well: I am small and slim and the shoulder straps always ended up sliding upward towards my neck (wearing it in the cross back version) which made it very uncomfortable. The baby was just not heavy enough to bend the very stiff and thick padding of the shoulder straps.I ended up buying the other brand carrier and abandoning this one...UPDATE: when baby was about ~6month old I tried this one again and now it's LOADS better! Baby is heavier and bigger now to actually get a good fit as well! Especially wearing baby forwards facing is a nice possibility.I can recommend to buy but only from 5/6month on when babies are a bit bigger and heavier. One star less for the price - too high in my opinion. Read more

We got the carrier last year before our baby arrives mid this year and did not have time to visit an actual store that sells Ergobaby. Now, after the baby was born, we had the opportunity to use the product and compared it with the one from an actual store. We realized that the one from this seller was likely not real or used. I would highly recommend any mom/dad to pay extra attention when buying products like this ahead of time and finding ways to try it before your baby arrives or the return date expires Read more
