My wife is gluten intolerant and follows a strict gluten-free diet. She's never been tested for Celiac, but she definitely has an allergy to gluten. Her symptoms are typically NOT digestive-related but manifest themselves in the form of flu-like aches and pains, migraines, etc. She is very sensitive to cross-contamination and has experienced symptoms on several occasions after eating things like french fries or fresh tortilla chips fried in the same fryer as breaded items. For about 2-3 months, she's been carrying a bottle of the GlutenEase Extra Strength in her purse as an "insurance policy" against cross contamination when eating out. We just got back from a 1 week vacation in Mexico and she took a pill with every single meal, every pina colada/margarita/mojito, etc. We ate out approximately 15 times throughout the week and she ate fresh tortilla chips at just about every restaurant. We did not try to explain the gluten allergy to anyone while in Mexico - we simply verified that whatever we were ordering was served on a corn tortilla vs. a flour tortilla.I'm happy to report that in the 2-3 months she's been taking these pills, she has not had a single incident, including during our vacation in Mexico! Prior to buying GlutenEase, my wife seemed to have an incident at least once a month after eating out. Again, she only takes the pills as an insurance policy and does not plan on ever purposely consuming gluten again, so I don't know how well they would work if she consumed a large quantity of gluten, but at this point, I'm a believer that the pills are indeed benefitting her!I'll update this review in a few months if things are still going well or if anything changes.UPDATE June 20, 2016: Well, it's been over 1.5 years since my wife started taking GlutenEase extra strength and I am happy to report she has still not had ANY issues with cross-contamination! As stated in my original review, she never purposely consumes gluten, but she keeps a bottle in her purse and takes 1 GlutenEase extra strength anytime she eats out at a restaurant as an insurance policy. From time to time, she DOES consume french fries or chips fried in the same fryer as gluten-containing items (i.e. at a Mexican restaurant) but that's about the extent of the gluten that she comes into contact with (knowingly). No issues whatsoever! Read more
Well here's my experience with this. I've been gluten and dairy intolerant for about 5 years now. Usually when I eat gluten, my cheeks turn red, my stomach starts to swell, and then I have this sharp pain on top of my left eyebrow (It's weird I know). I was hoping for a solution now, so I did some research and found this. I was a little skeptical about it but I gave it a shot anyways. The day that pills came in, I tested it on a piece of bread, so I took a pill and ate a piece of bread. I waited and waited. 2 hours passed and no pain! So I went to the extreme. I went out with a few of my friends and ordered a burger. I took one pill before and ate the burger. I then took another one right after, just in case. It has been 4 hours and nothing happened! I was so happy I can enjoy a burger now with some friends! I was very satisfied with my purchase and I hope it will help you guys as well. Read more
I have a pretty severe intolerance, I react to even the slightest cross contamination. I travel 25-30x a year for work, and entertain clients frequently. So a gluten (and Dairy) intolerance was a HUGE problem, I could rarely make it through a trip without getting sick. Then I found these. I take one pill of this, and one of the Lacto pills, and I haven't had a single problem in the past 3 months. I mostly try to avoid ordering gluten/dairy, so this is an insurance policy against cross contamination. Although two times, I have taken two pills of each and purposely ate some Mexican food with a fair amount of gluten and dairy, and I was still fine. I'm wondering if for the people this doesn't work for, if they are eating too much gluten, or aren't taking the pill before they eat. My Dr. Said to take a bite of food, then take the pill before eating the rest of your meal. I was skeptical this would work, but desperate enough to buy it anyway. Sooooo glad I did. I think anyone that has gluten sensitivity should try it once, what if it works for you? I wasn't paid or given anything for this review. Read more
I am intolerant to wheat and my symptoms include severe bloating, abdominal pain and upset tummy. I follow a gluten-free diet. I wanted to try this product to see if it would allow me to eat 'normal food' when travelling abroad next month, just to make things easier.I very nervously bought a normal pizza yesterday to experiment and took 2 tablets with the first bite (instructions said to take 1, but I wasn't taking any chances!). Long story short, I would say the Extra Strength tablets 'controlled the reaction' to the gluten. Perhaps naiively, I was expecting to have zero symptoms 🤔. My stomach did bloat and gurgle, I had slight discomfort and it did feel tight and hard, just alot less so than normal. Rightly or wrongly, I took another tablet after eating to see if it would take these symptoms away, it didn't.This morning (the morning after), tummy is still bloated and feeling a bit sore and bruised, for lack of a better word.I hesitated for weeks before trying this product, as it's a lot of money to waste if they don't work.Bottom line, for me, I'm disappointed. They definitely don't work well enough for me to want to use them to have an occasional real pizza or garlic bread (as in some reviews I've read). But worked well enough to cope if I was in a situation where gluten-free food was not available. Read more

These were as they said on the box. They helped me to get rid of an addiction to gluten and cassein. I had overdone it when going through a tough time recently. I have succeeded in losing some weight too - partly because they helped me clean out the partly digested gluten etc in my system and, combined with three days when I had over a litre of green juice each day plus plenty of good probiotics, I managed to bring on a feverish cold and that really cleaned me out. Can say these tablets worked that well. Good for when u are having a dinner loaded with gluten - the stopped me (a little bit fully) from feeling overly bloated. But I expected more from them. Read more
This product seems to take the edge off the reaction when I eat gluten but not completely. I think it depends what your condition is. Definitely not for Coeliacs but if you have a mild intolerance this could help for occasional use. I wouldn't recommend it as a way to eat gluten daily but good for cover if eating out. Read more
