I purchased this for my aging mother, Her first one finally gave out. It was the same make and model. She told me she had the previous one for 17 years, and paid more money at the time. At first i was skeptical about buying this product mainly because it had the "as seen on tv" icon and that 99% means the product sucks but i was looking at more famous and expensive brand names which use the same idea and considering how my face breaks out very easily I decided to try with this one first and see how it goes before investing in a much more expensive one, it worked really well and it didn't hurt me as much on my upper lip as it hurt me on my chin but after a while your skin gets numb and you don't feel the pain so bad, just try to stretch your skin as you glide it over it, works really nice on the side burns too which i have, to me this little baby is a life saver, my facial hair grows rather fast and using too much chemicals like hair removal creams started to give me this unpleasant greenish hue just like what happens to men after they shave, i was freaked out and stopped using absolutely everything on my face till i decided to look for a different way that doesn't make me look like a man and using those creams always hurt my face and made it break out, I didn't experience that with these tweezers they were also fast and not that time consuming i think doing both my side burns, upper lip and chin took about 20 minutes. Just make sure to clean your face with hydrogen peroxide before and after you use it, i took that advice from the top reviewer and it worked like a charm i even gave if a test i used the hydrogen peroxide on only one side of my face and not the other, the one I didn't use it on feels kind of itchy but the other one feels great!Another thing i love about this little tweezy is the clear cover which traps the hairs in and it also seems quite sturdy and not cheaply made at all, the only thing I don't like is that it's kind of noisy but that doesn't bother me. The size is just right and compact you can put it in your purse which makes it perfect for traveling. To maintain the life of this product you shouldn't let water get to it and if your face is sweaty it won't work well as your hairs will be stuck to your face, also use it regularly even if you don't have much hairs to pull so you prevent the batteries leaking and going bad inside it. So far this has worked great for my black hairs that started growing on my chin and cheeks after my 2nd pregnancy. It hurts only a small bit, just like when I used to pluck the hairs. I like that this also gets the fine blond hairs that grow too. Read more

I have a hormonal issue that causes excessive facial hair growth and I am a religious tweezer because it is the only thing that works for me. I would pluck EVERYDAY and still wasn't getting rid of it all. This product just cleared my whole face (minus my lip because I can't take the plucking pain on my lip, never have been able to) within MINUTES! I have tried EVERYTHING. Waxing, shaving, tweezing but this product has solved my problem and given me so much more seldom esteem. And this is after one use! I would recommend this product to anyone who is used to tweezing. This is a fantastic product.... Works Beautifully!Sadly, I just ordered this in the middle of July. It's now September 9th, and for some strange reason a piece of the plastic where the battery cases split and broke off.Luckily they're inexpensive and I just ordered another one. I wasent sure this little thing would work, and while it does yank out slightly longer hairs. Those short dark rough little hairs don't seem to come out as easily as I hoped for. It's a slight pinch I'd say a little rougher than your normal tweezing. So other than having to go back over some spots and this thing so far is so good! I wanted to try this item out as I use an epilator on my legs and under arms normally, and far prefer it to waxing or shaving. I tried it out on some facial hair that to be honest you couldn't really see but I was paranoid about. The results were awful. Apart from being very painful to use and I'm used to epilating, the hair remover became very hot during use, and despite cleaning my skin carefully before and after use, I was left with a mustache of tiny spots which were so red and sore and took near enough a week to clear with spot treatment! It does the job and is very small and compact. But it stops suddenly when pressure is applied when going over the chin area. Not as good as Whizz-It. I have got another Whizz-It from Shanghai and it works a treat, better than Emjoi, which is a spare one.So feedback to others is 1st choice is Whizz- it ( my 2nd one in 5 yrs) and if you can not get it then get a Emjoi. Bought this to replace the one I previously bought years ago. However even though it's the same item, it's does not do the job. It's like it's a different product. It fails to pick up the hairs.
