I LOVE these brushes!! I'm not a makeup artist but I wanted to upload a photo that I took of them and added some text with what they would best be used for since the paper it came with shows what each one is used for. (These are based on the card it comes with only) In my opinion, #1 is best for blush as it could be used for foundation, but usually more dense brushes are best for blending liquid foundation or creams. The flat top dense brushes are best for foundations (liquid and or mineral). #2 seems best for liquid foundation, or highlighter (that you would dab ontop of your high cheekbones). It can also be used as a bigger concealer brush as well. #3 This one is best used for contouring, or highlighting or blending eye shadow. #4 Best uses would be for smudging eyeliner or used for lower eye lid smudging eyeshadow. It's also very good for blending or adding more darker colors to the end creases of your eyelid. #5 Best used for angled eye shadow in the creases. #6 Eyebrow brush (using eye shadow only), and also to use for eyeliner (esp if using eye shadow for eyeliner). #7 This one is best for a small concealer brush OR using eye shadow to "pat" on the eyelid. #8 Best for eye shadow in the crease and blending. #9 The bristle side is for eyebrows and the comb side is for combing and separating eye lashes #10 is best used for setting powder, or all over powder OR a light use of blending mineral powder. #11 is best for blending liquid or mineral foundation (the more dense the more it helps blend #12 Same uses as #11 Hope this helps :) Read more

These are nice soft brushes. So far my makeup has looked a lot better since I've gotten these brushes. I would highly recommend especially to beginners. They're a lot smaller than I expected but its not a bad thing. In the photo I compared them to the size of an E.L.F. lip exfoliator which is generally the size of a normal lipstick. Read more

These brushes definitely exceeded my expectations! I've purchased single brushes from name brands for the same price (or even more) as the price of this 12 piece set and I have to say the quality of these brushes is better than some of those name brands! There's not a single thing that I could complain about. The brushes were packaged nicely and luckily for me they didn't have any strong chemical smell, I did still wash them of course, and didn't have any bristles fall out or anything. The bristles are perfectly soft but still a bit firm. Overall they feel really well made and I haven't had any shedding whatsoever. I have been using these brushes for over a week now and so far they are the best yet. I usually get brushes every 6 months because of the usage and how much other brushes shed but these are GREAT, no shedding and I have washed them 3 times! Read more

I purchased this set a few months ago. It has a large variety in it. The foundation brush I use daily. I have washed it several times withoutseeing any wear on it. I've recently been introduced to the art of makeup. Before, I patted it on, threw on some mascara and eyeliner and called it good. I then became friends with a woman who is teaching me that makeup is art. As with art, you need the right tools, and I am so glad I found these ones.The brushes are soft, and hold the pigment of eyeshadows, highlighters, contours really well. They don't hurt your skin (I have an old set of brushes that was like rubbing a brillo pad across your face)I haven't had any shedding, and they are a comfortable hold. The sponge works really well for blending out my concealer too!If you are a beginner or a pro, I recommend this set. Brushes are soft but densely​ packed and pick up and hold powder very well. I've especially been impressed with the flat brushes precision application of eyeshadow and blending. Not very impressed with the small fluff brushes... They could be more dense, and the bristle length shortened. Right now they're pretty useless. Love the inclusion of an eyebrow brush and eyelash comb. Too many sets are leaving this tool out now days, and it really is a must have in any collection IMHO. The mini Kabuki brush is an awesome little bonus and great for travel applications​. There​ was a chemical smell but nothing too awful. Just letting the brushes breath overnight a few nights should get rid of it. No shedding, no loose handles. These brushes are definitely made to be on par with paint brushes, which is part of why I love them (I grew up with paint brushes more so than makeup brushes lol). I had bought a set before and I have had them for over 3 years with no shedding but lost some of the pieces and decided to buy the set again. They didn’t have the strong paint smell I remember they had before (which is good!) and seem really soft. Holy cow! These brushes are WONDERFUL! I couldn't believe how soft they were and what a difference they'd make to my makeup application, but they made applying cosmetics a dream! The handles are lovely to hold, the bag they come in is lovely too and there are more brushes than you can shake a stick at! In particular, the eyebrow comb/brush is great for me because I have eczema on my eyebrows and the stuff bristles of the brush get rid of the flaky skin, while being gentle enough not to make my skin red.My daughter has a set of brushes she paid about £30 for, and she ignored them and used mine because these brushes kick the ass of hers! The foundation brushes and kabuki brush are as soft as the softest animal fur and feel lovely against your skin, and the eye shadow brushes and blender are super effective for easy, controlled application of eyeshadow and for smudging eyeliner.This bag of brushes is all you'll ever need, and the ladies in my family are probably all going to end up with some for Christmas! This is the second set I've bought after the previous set lasted me nearly five years. The bristles are supersoft on the brushes you need them to be and for the more firm ones, exactly the right rigidity. They do not shed bristles at the same rate as other brushes. You will get the odd one but that will be around once a month, hence the last ones being so long lasting. They also feel really plush and solid with the bamboo handles. Would definitely recommend. This vegan make up brush set is a really good buy for the price. The angled eyebrow brush is perfect and the variety of brushes cover most make up needs. Each brush is well shaped and very soft, or firm according to their purpose. The handles are a great length and just right - not too long or short. There was a very slight iffy aroma when first opened, but that faded pretty quickly. The product arrived today and I am very pleased with the brushes. When opening there is a string distinctive smell however I have been told that this is due to the bamboo materiel. They also informed me that the smell will go after more use. Furthermore I was impressed by the quality of the content in terms if the packaging; each brush was plastic wrapped.
